November 29, 201015 yr So my cash pile is starting to get up there with doing herb runs a lot and drops from slayer. It's pretty much all I do, and I was wondering whether buying a BCP/Tassets or D Claws will be more useful for training slayer. Currently I'm using EEE for my spec, so theres no extra damaging coming from that. For my armor I'm using Verac's Skirt and Prossy Plate. Currently 94 slayer and max melees. Any input is appreciated. (I know it isn't recomended to drop your whole cash pile into one item usually, but there's not really anything I need to buy other than better gear for slaying, I already have karils for when I need mage defence.) 99 HP, Attack, Strength, Defence, Summoning, Ranged, Herblore, Prayer, Agility, Magic, Slayer, Fletching, Fishing, Woodcutting, Mining, and Thieving. November 29, 201015 yr Author BCP+Dclaws Tassets can wait. I can only afford one though, so would a spec wepon or more str bonus be better in the long run? If I got D claws, would it be worth while to bring spec restores with me on tasks? November 29, 201015 yr Dclaws, then BCP, then Tassets I would say. Although you should resell that gear to get turmoil once your cashpile recovers. For dclaws + spec restores to speed up slayer, you will have to time the weapon switching, speccing, and potting down as to not lose combat ticks. I see a lot of people in Kuras pull it out but autoretailiate with a non-spec - sort of defeats the purpose of having it. If you find the timing difficult then BCP is probably better. Shouldn't be too hard though.

November 29, 201015 yr Turmoil : it's going to be expensive but will make a lot more difference than Claws or Bandos armor. I found Claws kinda useless since i got rapier... No way to see how loaded the spec bar is which results often in wasted weapon switchs and wasted spec bar...
November 29, 201015 yr turmoil>claws>bcp>tasset If you're not all that good at switching/paying attention, the DPS of Claws is only a little better than that of the Chaotic Rapier. That being said, it's still probably better/more useful than tassets. I piety the fool.
November 29, 201015 yr I really don't understand why everyone would say claws. If you are going for maximum offense, BCP or tassets will allow you to do more extra damage over an hour than claws(without spec restores) not to mention the extra defense and small prayer bonus from bandos. If you have torso, use that along with tassets, if not, use BCP+verac's- spec weapon really isn't that important until you have cash to spare(neither is bandos, for that matter.
