Agility Training

Hey guys, I was wondering what are the best routes for agility training?

Right now, my agility is level 50 but I plan on getting it to at least level 70 - probably higher sometime soon.

I would appreciate it if you guys could give me a course/outline of where I should go.

I've been at Barbarian Outpost for a long time now and the exp rate is pretty bad ~9-10k per hour.

I wouldn't mind training at Yanille but bringing antipoisons are a hassle so I wanted your input.

What's the best agility exp I can get now?

When should I switch courses?

Any information is greatly appreciated!

You really should just do the highest you can do, Keep grinding away until you can do wildy. You'll fail some obstacles but the xp/ph will still be higher. The agility arena is xp isn't too bad, I mainly use it to just break the tediousness (real word?) of agility courses.

Unfortunately barbarian is still your best option. To mix it up knock out like 100 tickets at the brimhaven dungeon. Otherwise try out the penguin course if you can just for variety.

Switch to the wildy course as soon as you can until 60 where you can do the werewolf course. Either of those to 70 will be fine (go off of preference) where ape atolls course becomes better.

Ape atoll can't be failed at 75, continue there until 80 or 81 at which point you should use pies to do gnome advanced. At 81 you can also use an abyssal lurker's special ability to do gnome advanced. Stick here until 85 or 86.

Then you should pie/scroll for barbarian advanced. After you have your agile top/bottoms it doesn't matter which between the two you do to 99. The exp rates are compareable.

Edit

@above, ape atoll is unlocked before wildy and is not worth going to until 70. Don't just do the highest course available. The exp/hr isn't necessarily better. In this case it just flat out isn't.

^ Thanks for the help!

There's nothing to give me more then 8-10 k agility per hour?

That's really not cool :( I have the requirements for ape atoll - (minus the quest which I can do if needed) should I start training there?

I've heard lots of stories about pkers just wandering around, coming into the course to kill people then leave. I don't wanna have to deal with coming back and avoid any pkers on the trip.

EDIT: I just got that comment about the Ape Atoll.

How is Brimhaven comparable? If I use my tickets on agility exp - would I be getting >10k an hour?

There's no reason to spend your tickets on anything but agility exp. Make sure you use karamja gloves if you have them for the 10% boost to exp. It should be compareable exp to barbarian, depends on luck to some degree, if you fail an obstacle and thus miss getting the ticket it obviously cuts into exp/hr.

Other options would be lamps/peng points/and tears of guthix. And of course make sure you do your circus every week, at 83 agility its ~10 k exp for 5 min of work.

Sorry to hijack, but does juggling give agil exp at the circus, or do you have to do the other tricks to get exp? I just ask because I'm getting ~6k a week at 72 agil.

EDIT: Thanks ^^

You need to purchase a single snapdragon from the arena for the Karamja elite diary - might as well do that :P.

Juggling wont add any exp if you also do the trick of the same level. So if you do the level 50 trick and then juggle the lvl 50 thing you will receive no exp for juggling. Best for exp is to just do one of every trick.

@Q....fine buy your snapdragon seed.... :P

As a way of mixing it up between the options yes. By all means you could use it until the wildy course. Variety however is what keeps me playing so I would switch it up.

I've always found agility arena to be a massive pain, usually something stupid happens and I take huge hits on my xp/hr. I did wildy course until around 60 I believe, then I went off to Ape Atoll. The beauty of the latter is that you don't need to bank for food; carry a knife with you, pick the pineapples in the nearby area, and then slice them up. You stop failing the course at 75, my xp rate there was about 35 or 40k by the hour.

Werewolf is @ 60, i used it until 70.

Don't go to ape atoll until 70, you will literally gain less exp/hr at your level than you're getting currently at barbarian because you will fail so often.
