Your steps around the hacking issue are not in any way good enough. It's not possible to protect against this in any way. There is no way on earth I would ever be for something like this. I actually don't think I've ever heard a suggestion I liked less. :thumbdown:

What about quests? You'd have people with Ancient Magic at 1 prayer, barrows gloves at 1 defense, etc. We already have people with fire capes at low levels from when Jagex resets botters' stats. When a player "zeros" their stats, would you take away every quest reward and diary/task reward that they got as a result of having the skill at their original level?

 

If you want to zero your stats, start a new account and trade over your money and items now that we have free trade back. Problem solved.

The word hacking has become misused though, and for many people who don't know the meaning, they almost combine hacking and scamming into the same thing. Either way, op: read my post and only post after you do research...

 

In the realm of runescape hacking does refer to any of the "someone else is on my account taking my stuff"

What you are gaining: For a handful of people who are overly concerned about aesthetic value of arbitrary numbers, they are now able to restore past "mistakes"

 

What you are losing: All of your hard earned stats if you get hacked.

No, really. Summoning is one of the most useful skills in the game. And if you're THAT ocd about your level, you should probably see a doctor about that to get some meds. Other than that, this seems to me like a slightly varied iteration of the "OMFG MAI DEFENSE IS LVL 3 NOW, RESET PLZ JAMFLEX" thread we used to see all the time when pures were the standard for PKing.
