Have a few questions about woodcutting before I start training

Featured Replies

Hey guys. I have almost never woodcutted before. I made a new F2P account which I will be focusing on to make money for my main. I have 60 Woodcutting so far so I am cutting yews, but I can only get like 30-40 logs per hour because there are so many bots at Edgeville and GE in every single world!!!

How high should I get my WC before I cut yews to significantly increase my logs per hour? Keep in mind I have to use a rune axe since this account is F2P.

Should I train at Willows? I was getting like 30-35k dropping the logs when I trained at Willows.

Hey, I saw you on War of Legends before, haven't I? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

Well, I'd suggest cutting willows and banking the logs at Draynor. Dropping would probably be slower, honestly. Yews aren't good experience, or that great for money. Stick with willows for xp on non-members.

If you're going to train anyways - you might as well do it on your main. You would have access to dragon hatchet and you'd have access to a lot more locations not to mention trees.

If you're 100% going to go for wc in f2p - you should just find two willow trees, chop and drop. This requires a lot more attention but is definitely faster then cutting and banking at draynor.

There are tons of places, but I usually use the one near port sarim (mainly because nobodys ever there so I don't have to look for a different spot). It's near the church thats a little up from port sarim (I don't know which map direction it is - I think north? not too sure though).

^ This, my personal favorite location is the willow trees near remmington and the ones just north of the monks at port sarim.

Yeah yews are really bad cash and xp even for f2p. Theyre ok for some starting cash on a noob account I guess but I'd say stick to willows. Dropping is faster xp if you do it right dropping 2-3 logs with mousekeys after getting a log then reclicking the tree without slowing down. Banking at draynor isn't much slower though

A worthy mention should be made of the willows north of the Entrana deposit box, also (which IS usable in F2P). It's slightly further, but generally less crowded, so it evens out.

It's no use making money on a side account as it's not legal to transfer to your main ;).
