Lacoste
After reading the past few weeks it seems as though the general census is that bursting/barraging for charms is no longer as viable as it used to be? Personally I would prefer the fastest way, and that's the reason I jumped to bursting. But I would love to learn more about the other ways, such as waterfiends and Black demons. My stats are 97 melees, 91 range/magic, and I have all chaotic weapons, but no extremes or ovls. Again many thanks!
I_am_Not
Turmoil, extremes, yak, overloads if you really want them.Yak would cost you a pretty penny as well, I believe turmoil is far more worth it but that's simply an opinion. Good luck with frosts, got bored after 1.5k bones or so If you quote me please be sure to note that I'm extremely mad.

SirIzenhime
yak first then 88 herb then 95 prayer then 96 herb ^^ Especially if you're doing Frosts for money. A yak will help your GP/hour immensely there due to staying the staying power provided by it's banking ability over a tortoise. Assuming you're using a cannon, both ext and turm are slightly diminished there due to your cannon doing most of the work (it should be doing most of the work if you set it up right) compared to the yak. After that, 88 herblore is cheaper then tumoil, so it's just so much easier to get first, and provides more benefit for the costs. Then get turmoil. Ovl are more of a "at your pace" thing, unless you start doing things like DKs, tds, nex and corp, where OVLs just help way to much to not go for fast. Nothing you could get could possibly increase your GP/hr at frosts more than a yak, so if that's your money source it's a no-brainer. However, if you wanted to consider learning TDs, you could switch it up a little. Get high enough for extreme ranged from frosts and then head straight to TDs with eagle eye/rigour (totally worth getting rigour for this, by the way) and piety, using the charms you get there to train summoning and the claws/effigies to train your prayer. Then at 95 prayer switch and start spending it all on 96 herblore. All up to you and what you enjoy, though. If you prefer frosts, do what the fine gentlemen before said; if you like TDs then follow my advice. Personally I'm a TD fanatic. Quyneax
For frosts, you need turmoil if meleeing w/ yak. If you are ranging, turmoil isn't relevant at all and you can just use eagle eye or rigour, as those are better. Otherwise I agree with Bladewing. Noxx
yak first then 88 herb then 95 prayer then 96 herbYep. Having a yak will make your money-making a lot easier, thus making 95 Prayer/96 Herblore easier/faster to reach.

Aiel
there still the fastest charms in game without ovls/turm I think. Black demons are about the equivelent of 175 charms p/h if you use the effigies on summ, waterfiends are about 130. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Quyneax
Barraging is the fastest charms in the game but also costly. If you still need magic xp, they are good (though I find them very boring personally). Approx 250 crims of xp per hour. Chaos tunnels fiends are quite often more efficient (you need to make quite a lot of money to barrage over ct fiends) but then again you need 95 summoning to do them, so you probably will make that money. They also drop effigies, which lobsters don't. 205 crims of xp per hour. Ancient cavern fiends are pretty fast, but still slower than bursting. 150 crims of xp per hour versus 170 at bursting. However, bursting costs 500k per hour versus waterfiends profiting 200k. You need a unicorn or turmoil to do these well, and void melee. Black demons are about as fast crims as AC waterfiends, but drop a lot more gold and green charms, more effigies, less loot unless you yak ashes. My last two trips brought a crystal key back, too :). Overall, it's much easier to qualify for lobsters as you only need magic levels, not high prayer/herblore levels.
