Crafting advice - New modifier

Featured Replies

SO, since you guys were so incredibly helpful in getting me from 72 to 80 smithing (which I'll finish before I go to sleep), I thought I'd check if there was a cost effective/moderately quick way to level crafting. Currently 63, looking to bring it up to 80.

Please and thank youuuuu. <3:

EDIT - Is there anything that provides semi-fast, cheap, consistent exp? (Comparable to smelting gold with gaunts for smithing?)

You can try air battlestaves if you can find people to help sell you staves. Making d'hide bodies (I believe blue is cheaper than green at the moment) with SC Needles has always been a favorite.

Just to add some numbers to this, Air staves are about 250k xp/hr and 4gp/xp. It's really nice, how I went from 70-80

I went from 80-99 like this, was very nice. Took quite a while (months) getting the staves from the GE but I just had it as a permanent backburner project and eventually I was done.

Air battlestaves are excellent.

To add to the above, next to from the g/e, you can get them from a few shops as well.

If you've done some of the Varrock Tasks you can buy staves from Naff (staff store in Varrock) daily. If you have access to Lunar Isle you can also buy some from Baba Yaba's Magic Shop (The 'chicken house' to the north of the bank).

Numbers for naff

8-no tasts done

16-easy tasks done

32-medium tasks done

64-hard tasks done

80-elite tasks done

Lunar isle restocks 20 once a day.

Ask some nice friends to order your staffs for you to get around the 100/4hr limit and then buy the from them in a trade for what they paid (or extra if you're nice). Good luck!

Thanks for all the replies.

I'll add the question in the OP just so there's no confusion.

You could use the gold bars to make jewellery with gems?
