atestarossa
Hey. I just wondered if anyone know what herbs are the most profitable to farm nowadays. I've got scroll of life as well as juju potions. I would look up Grimy's spreedsheets, but the prices there are messed up, so that didn't work too well. So I thought I could ask if anyone here knew before I took out the calculator myself. I'm 83 farming, so I can farm anything, as torstols are just a stranger plant familiar away. Lovely if someone knows! :)

Quyneax
Torstol with pies should take 3 bites, maybe 4. Autist
Ok, I am going to ask some stupid questions. Hope you don't mind. tieszen, is the familiar farming boost a visible boost? Not hidden like with arctic bear and hunter? Quyneax, what do you mean by 3 or 4 bites? I don't understand. Is it really like I hope it is? Each bite adds a farming level? :o I have 81 farming. Can I farm torstols without using spicy stews? So confused, answers to my silly questions are very much appreciated. Ty.
Octarine
You could always compromise and plant a torstol in my arms patch and snaps in the rest, so you wont have to take another juju dose later in the run. (by wasted time boosting for torsts)Also no deaths on torstol is nice to know too :D I tend to do this because I dont like to keep lots of money locked up in seeds, but torstols overall will be better profit. edits: and I think quyneax means 3 or 4 bites for the whole run, since the level will obviously drop off over time Blog of DG, Bossing (mostly Glacors) and stuff - Runetrack Play Safe! - Got useful information for the tip.it website? Ty.It's visible - you can't reboost while it's active so it doesn't work for farm runs. I did mean time-wise. You boost to 86, which drops to 85, which drops to 84. If you start right after a stat drop, you can get 1:55 from one bite. No, as I said the plant can't reboost, sadly. Octarine's farm strategy works very well, it's both low risk and high profit - ideal if your cash pile can't take any hits. Th e Doctor
The boost from the stranger plant is visable so you can use it to plant seeds, and is equal to 1+4% of your current level rounded down so for you at level 81 you will get a 4 level boost out of it. You get it through conversation with the plant. So you could do it with the stranger plant. However you'd likely run out of time on your juju dose having to reboost through conversation potentially 4+ times throughout the run. Garden pies are only a 3 level boost so those are out for you autist. @above a juju farming dose should last the whole run with a minute to spare because you should be starting at the my arms patch. Each run being 4 min if done perfectly. green9090
As said above, do torstol with garden pies. Start at My Arm's patch and rush. Might take you two juju doses per run for a little while, but they're easy enough to make that that's not a big deal. Torstol are great exp, so pretty soon you shouldn't need to boost anymore if you do a few runs a day. Georgelemmons
I know this is disregarding herb deaths, but basic numbers point to torstol. Planting torstol in my arm's and snapdragons in the rest is a good alternative if you can't absorb the losses of torstol seeds. Profit formula: 5 * (herb price * 6.5 * 4/3 + .1 * seed price) - 5 * seed price Snap seeds: 55,000Clean snap: 12,700Snapdragon profit: 302833 gp Torstol seeds: 380,200Clean torstol: 48,100Torstol profit: 373433 gp Thanks to Uno for the awsome sig <

LitterBug
The stranger plant may be more trouble then it is worth. What you could do I guess is just rush to 82, plant everything you can as often as you can.Once you hit 82, you can just eat when you're running to your patch. It'll take one bite per patch pretty much if you're farming torstols all around and you'll probably be fine. For the herb situation now, just grab a stranger plant - plant the torstol in trollheim. That way, by the time you hit 82 - you already have some start up cash to land back on.Snapdragons would be good for the rest of the patches. Then you can do Torstols all around. atestarossa
@quyneax. Thanks for reminding me of pies, I'll use those instead! After a few rounds with torstols with stranger plant, I realised that there's one problem with using it. Not that I'm not managing to keep within the juju potion dose, but that my farming drops down to 84/83. When that happens, I have to wait until it drops down to 83 again before I can boost it. May I ask another quick question btw. If I log out, does my juju potion doses reset? I assume it doesn't, but it would be better to ask to be sure. I guess that I could just log quick in and out one time during my farming run, that would keep my familiar from dropping down to 84 :)

Blake
Just use pies at 82, because you don't have to wait for your stats to go back like you do with stranger plants. I went from 81-85 on torstols only, but at 81 I had to use 2 or 3 juju doses per run because of the stranger plant waiting time. After 82 it gets much easier. My average profit was something like 70k/seed.
