Herblore

So roughly 4.9m xp?

Even the cheapest gp:xp herblore is like over 10gp:xp.

Meaning you'd need at the very minimum 50mil-ish to do it, looking more like 80mil realistically

Unless of course you want to uste insanely slow methods such as cleaning herbs, which can turn a profit according to ge prices or making plain attack pots which are like 2gp:xp

step 1. make 40-70m more.

step 2. wait for a BXPW

step 3. get 90 (get 91+, 90 is useless) herblore.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

I'm sorry, but I have to agree with the posts above. You can't get such a high herblore level without spending money on it, and a whole lot of money too. I would say that if you want at least some efficiency in your training you will need at least 50-70m to spend on it.

camp abby spectres, then clean the herbs you get from them. My guess is the bunyip pouches required for this will total 21m.

Or he could use the prayer method and make his own prayer pots from ranarr drops (herby xp :)) bank all the herbs you are going to use and sell the herbs that you won't along with other drops for more herbs / seconds. :D

OP: the only way I can think of has already been said by SY, cleaning herbs can get you very cheap maybe even profit from doing this. What you could do is do this for a bit until you have the cash to get 'real xp' then splash out :D

Good luck. :)

Just farm herbs/MTK.

Giant flaw in farming:

1) Most patches make a lose on the original seed making it more cost efficient to just buy the herbs

2) The patches that DO profit aren't the best herb xp ever and it is better to sell them to buy more appropriate herbs.

Ever since I remember, Farming herbs has always been a 100% profit; never a loss. :o

It is however still better to sell all the herbs and buy the most cost efficient one.

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

That's probably true, unless the merchers fudge you over.

Also, there's a certain satisfaction from creating potions from your own "home-grown" herbs.

Also, In the case of snaps, I would need those Super restores anyway.

Well, that is a personal thought, I personally like to be efficient, it makes me feel professional.

And in the case that you need Super Restores, it'd be better to make the most cost efficient potion, sell the results and buy super restores.

MTK and farming are moneymakers not efficientherblorexpmakers as Nikolai said. With a decent routine you should be able to make 3-4m/week easily, spending the rest of the time doing random (non-expensive) skilling or slaying or something. I'm afraid you'll have to be patient :P. 85-99 farming off torstol with juju would be approximately 400m profit I think, but it takes a year or so (over 1k farm runs).
