Ya they didn't say it, but Im thinking this part is the clan chat update:

 

From the Clan Camp, youll sort your generals from your serfs using the clan rank system, give job titles to those under your command and announce your groups reason for being..

 

So I'm guessing this will separate the clan chat so ranks are no longer tied to your friends list. Instead you will have to go to the camp to change your ranks on a separate list.

 

This will be a big update for monster hunting too, for better or for worse. Maybe instead of being able to add a random person at a boss entrance, you'd have to go to clan camp to add people to the list for loot-share. On the other hand, perhaps they will make LS available to everyone in your clan chat regardless of rank. It's difficult to say, but I can see people griping about this part of the update whichever way it turns out. But maybe I'm wrong.

 

Either way, im VERY much looking forward to this update. :thumbup:

I'm not totally sure about this, but I do remember reading somewhere that they will be separating the casual Clan Channels from the actual Clan Camp thingy.

So you'd have the casual clan channels where people can pop in and out, like w60 Penguins, and the ones more fixed permanently, which will probably be the new thingy.

I believe there will be an official clan registration and it will require something like 5 members to start a clan. Also, if you create one or join one, you will be unable to join any other clan, which is the main downside to this update.

In the clan leader forum, they were allowing Leaders to pre-register their clan names and they required 1 clan owner and then 4 other starting members, although those 4 other ones didn't have to be staff.
