barbwireboy3
You shouldnt want mainly gold charms, go for a good variety. Personally i think you should stick with slayer, raising your combats while getting charms and slayer levels is the best you can do. Otherwise, you could try black demons which drop decent charms, mainly crimson though.
Hegelstad
For gold charms and clues you could try cannoning Hellhounds. When you reach a bit higher summoning levels, cannon black demons instead and train with crimson charms! Tuska
The problem is i dont have money to cannoning, i have just like 3m because i bought Saradomin Sword to train Strength but I decide to train Slayer with getting charms for Summonong. So you think to that is the best way? to train slayer with getting charms? pulli23
Slayer always gives a good blend of money, charms & combat xp. So if you need all these it's in deed a strong option.. (And I think that if you keep slaying you'll reach 99 summon at around 93 slayer). I'd immediatelly sell the saradomin sword if you need money: get a korasi and a zamorakian spear for waterfiends. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Guy
I don't really think the Sara Sword is great for strength training - unless you are a pure. If you aren't a pure, then just use a whip with controlled style. Slayer is good for getting charms. Vex
At your level Gold charms are a good option. At higher summoning levels Crimson charms become the best option. You should only do Slayer if you get bored at one spot. If you do not want to do Slayer, some monsters I can recommend you to train on for charms (and good combat xp for your level) Fire Giants (Gold)Greater Demons (Crimson)Bloodveld (Green) However all of these monsters you will get assigned to you anyway if you decide to do slayer. Also Saradomin Sword is a good option to train strength, you should not cannon at your levels and money. Do not ever trade this in for a bandos godsword.Remember for every strength level you gain - your attack and defence levels will be faster. Once you are 52+ summoning, crimson charms will start to be a lot better to get than the other charms. Once you have access to piety (70 prayer) and 80 combat stats, waterfiends become an excellent place to get charms. http://www.[Caution! Tuska
Ok, i want to get first 52 SUMM, and i dont know what to do for charms because slayer is slow..
Vex
Fire Giants (Gold)Greater Demons (Crimson)Bloodveld (Green) Do these then, getting charms is slow, it is just something you have to deal with. There are fast ways to get charms but not at your combat levels or money. http://www.[Caution! Jagex Rule Violation].com
Th e Doctor
I don't really think the Sara Sword is great for strength training - unless you are a pure. If you aren't a pure, then just use a whip with controlled style. Slayer is good for getting charms. Whip on controlled to max stats is slower than using a d scim for str first and then also using a d scim for training attack second and defense third. In other words never train with a whip on controlled. Plus SS is a great way to train str, much better then a dscim + dd Fire giants aren't that good of a charm dropper (even for gold so definitely don't camp that)Bloodvelds are also bad - there's like 2-3 botters and 2-3 people on tasks in the slayer tower on almost every world. A decent alternative is basilisks - they're low leveled and you'll kill them pretty quickly. However, for your combat level - summoning isn't all that important so I wouldn't suggest you go hunt for gold/green charms. One thing you can do is just do slayer - most slayer tasks offer "decent" charm drops (as opposed to the rest of RS). If you're 100% adamant about hunting for charms - hunt for crimsons either by a.) cannoning black demons at taverleyb.) killing waterfiendsc.) bursting rock lobsJust save your gold/greens/crimsons until you have enough gold/green to get to a decent level to finally start using crimson. It's annoying but if you're really patient with your charms - you can finish summoning a ton faster

Just think about it, if you're training a whip on defense - you'll level all three equally as opposed to one at a time.At higher:-str level - you hit for more-atk level - you hit more often so boost your str level - your dps increasesboost your atk level - your dps increasesboost your def - your exp/hr doesn't change also you get additional boosts based on your stances. never train anything on control ever. (Unless it's the only stances) It's the same reason - you don't train magic in the defensive stance and the reason why you don't train range in the long range stance.Sure, the total amount of exp you get per hit is the same but it's nowhere near optimal training. Quyneax
Cannoning black demons is a great blend of crimsons for later & golds for now but you can't afford it (yet). I suggest working a bit on creating a steady money supply. Invest in a good farming level and unlock MTK + second shift of workers. pulli23
@litterbug:However you forget something: to get that "extra dps increase" from the strength levels, you will have to spend a LOT of time training with a weapon whose total experience an hour is lower than the "ideal" (whip). Now the difference between 95-99 strength is minimal in average dps (it's like what, 5%?).. Yet it's a LOT of xp & time. First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. squidsquash
You could just kill black demons for now, banking the ashes, saving up for a cannon? If not, slayer is the best way to go for low levels.

How are you calculating this at all?Faster DPS accounts for the faster killing time which then accounts for the more exp/hour.What does a whip do? Kill slower with less dps but higher exp?The math just doesn't add up. Additionally, I'll be leveling strength three times to your one of each level. Now, I used to think training controlled is worse but if you look at how each level of atk/str adds to your dps - you will realize that atk gives a LOT less of a return per level while leveling str gives you a linear increase of dps. The stance will also take a toll on the dps.Use a whip on accurate and controlled - it's a pretty noticeable difference in the times you hit (while the average may be slightly higher). All_Is_Great
The place I suggest will take a while to get to, so make sure to bring enough food to last a while. Basically, you want to kill ice warriors. A good spot is the near the ice queen you have to kill in Hero's Quest. You can even leave auto-retaliate on and look away for a while. Use super potions to kill faster and get hit less, they drop tons of golds and you can grab several hundred in no time. :shades:
