Im currently using max on maples and rest on herbs which tends to be quite profitable.

As far as gold in coffers make sure that you have over 750k everytime it takes out your cash to maximize effectiveness i just put 7.5m which is the max in at all times a safe area to be in for if your not to rich would be about 900k to 1.5m

Yeh it takes out 10% of your cash to a max of 750k a day so make sure you have atleast 750k in your coffers everyday. So basically 750k + 75k extra for every day you leave it. I have heard (indeed I am currently using) that 9 on maple and 6 on coal is currently the most profitable because of the drop in herb prices but I may be wrong.

I believe that now the best option is 9 on Maples and 6 on Coal. I usually just put in 1m GP if I know I am going to check it every week, a little extra just in case for whatever reason I don't get on to collect my resources.

That may be true id have to do some research on that since coal has gone up and herbs have gone down but it definetly is still profitable to do herbs.

As far as 9 maple 6 coal id put all on maple since i tree nests are 5k each ish and tree seeds are always a nice bonus

I'm pretty sure you get the same amount of nests regardless of wether you have 9 or 10 on Maples, I could be wrong though.

Yeah at the minute 9 maple 6 coal is win.

And you do 9 because 9 gives same number of nests as 10 and extra maples is fail since maples are the worthless bit where as an extra workers worth of coal is more moneys

Maples arent worthless, but they aren't worth the 10th worker. For everyones knowledge, maples has raised from 40gp to 100gp+ the last year or so.

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

The last month actually :P

Anyways: it entirelly depends on the time you keep your workers (and the time between updating), there's a lot of rounding being done before it is calculated.. First the total (unrounded) amount of base items is calculated.. Then this is rounded down. The rounded amount is again used to calculate the amount of specials (which is also rounded down).

Somewhere around 2-3 weeks of leaving them "in" it is better to use 10 mapples...

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Just check grimys spreadsheets in the AoW, it has the %return for each option for workers. As of right now maples are number one, coal is number two. And 10 on maples isn't worse than 9 due to the increase price in maple logs bringing in double per week than the crushed nests.

The spreadsheets are offline atm. Best is 10 Maples and 5 Coal.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

If you want some calculations:

this (my) sheet has them.. You just have to have excel + macros enabled (so it can update the prices from the ge, the prices currently in the sheet are from the start of this year, which are quite off).
