April 13, 201115 yr Pretty straight forward. I'm trying to get a public opinion. ~PM me and I'll do my best to make you a signature!~
April 13, 201115 yr Problem with this kind of thing is there's plenty I could be annoyed with them for but not enough for me to say 'No' because it wouldn't do justice to the things they've done right. I'm not expecting Andrew Lansley to look at this vote and find familiar company anyway. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
April 14, 201115 yr Thumbs up for me. Most updates released this year impressed me, especially seeing I'm a free player. Artisan's Workshop, free trade and wildy, profanity filter, and now the new clans. Lovin' it. BlogTrimmed | Master Quester | Final BossBoss pets: Bombi | Shrimpy | Ellie | Tz-Rek Jad | Karil the Bobbled | Mega Ducklings120s: Dungeoneering | Invention
April 14, 201115 yr Thumbs up. All in all, they're not doing a bad job, in spite of a small amount of people who are trying (and failing) to sway public opinion against them. ~ W ~
April 14, 201115 yr Well, the blatant lie about having a method to combat botting while the free trade referendum was available really angers me. Even if recent content has been decent, I feel they have lost all credibility as a company. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.
April 14, 201115 yr Some of the update in the past year have been great, though others have been bad. The botters still run rampant. Updates are often either high quality (relatively speaking) or enjoyable and/or efficient. Sooo... Undecided since there's too much problems, but enough good points to not be bad either. April 14, 201115 yr Thumbs down. Lately, Jagex has just lost a bit too much quality - consider the WildyWyrms, for example, or that they have modified Trollheim yet refuse to do anything about the terrible agility obstacle situation. This combined with the bot situation (which is, again, helpful to the average player, but doesn't say much good about Jagex and their ability to keep promises). There's still hope for them, though, if they get their act together, start fixing bugs, and really do well thought out updates. And RuneScape isn't ruined yet, just not improving too well. You're being watched.
April 14, 201115 yr Thumbs down. They could do better. Prepare to Die! Path of Exile RPG "Think where man's glory most begins and ends, and say my glory was I had such friends." Yeats
April 14, 201115 yr Some kinda updates that or ~meh at best. But updates like the profanity filter and some other minor but really needed updates bump up their score. Maybe add a rating system (worst 0/10, best 10/10) on the poll?
May 4, 201115 yr Author Jagex has continued to lose credibility since 2008. One of many examples occurred earlier this week. ~PM me and I'll do my best to make you a signature!~
July 6, 201115 yr Before they introduced these new capes, vanity items and the members' loyalty programme, it would have been a big thumps up from me for their work this year, in spite of the referendum. As it stands, I'm going to have to give them a thumbs down in the light of these terrible 'updates'. "Imagine yourself surrounded by the most horrible cripples and maniacs it is possible to conceive, and you may understand a little of my feelings with these grotesque caricatures of humanity about me." - H.G. Wells, The Island of Doctor Moreau
July 29, 201114 yr Thumbs up, even though bringing back Free Trade/Wilderness was a horrible idea, and some of the content they have been churning out could be a little bit better, their still doing a good job when it comes to minor updates and some of the major ones to.
July 30, 201114 yr Thumbs up, of course. If I was unhappy with them enough to say I didn't like them...A thumbs down... I wouldn't be posting on a fansite dedicated to their game, nor playing their game. RIP Michaelangelopolous
July 30, 201114 yr Thumbs up, of course. If I was unhappy with them enough to say I didn't like them...A thumbs down... I wouldn't be posting on a fansite dedicated to their game, nor playing their game.Playing an mmo and being on a fansite of one doesn't mean you have to like how they manage the mmo... Thumbs down for me.
July 30, 201114 yr If I didn't like how they managed it, I wouldn't be playing it. My opinion clearly differs from yours, when it comes to how a game's run and what we receive for playing. As I said, in my opinion, Being unhappy with how it's run, still playing and posting on a fansite dedicated to said game says that you're certainly happy with it... Otherwise you view this game as a job? Something you feel your obliged to do? If you didn't enjoy it, weren't satisfied with the product you were receiving, why the [bleep] would you continue using it? ... RIP Michaelangelopolous
July 30, 201114 yr I like the game and still think it's awesome but the updates this year thus far have been terrible in my honest opinion so I'd say Jagex are doing a bad job when it comes to that based on everything this year so far. You can still be a fan of the game and think it's fun yet think Jagex aren't doing a good job, they're not the same thing.
July 30, 201114 yr Yes but clearly my opinion differs then from both of yours, because if I didn't enjoy how a product I was using was being treated by its creator, or if it was provided to me with flaws and a no-refund policy, or something, I wouldn't be using it. Enjoying something on a day-to-day basis but being unhappy with the suits behind it...and still playing, says enough. You have to appreciate everything when you view an update, and the fact that no update will cater to everybody's needs...People will always be unhappy, but still appreciate what they were given in the past. RIP Michaelangelopolous
July 31, 201114 yr Well, I still appreciate what was given in the past (and I still continue to play that content!) but the vast majority of newer content given has been to me, as the very least, disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate Jagex's effort in the past to drive this game forward, but their updates seem to have staled over the past few months, causing me to wonder what they're doing. Of course, I still play this game, because I have some older content that I want to wrap up.Also, fan sites aren't really a Jagex product, haha.Guess we'll just have to agree to disagree though ! In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
