deletemeplease
Alright, so I'm now 86 attack and strength. I'm looking for the quickest way to 99 both of them at AZ's. So my question is this. Should I: A) Raise the levels at the same time, so get 87 attack then 87 strength and continue like thatB) Raise attack to level 99 firstC) Raise strength to level 99 firstD) Raise one skill 5 levels then the other skill 5 levels until 99 Thanks ahead of time for your help. :)
Nairage
Hmm tough question. I think getting, let's say, 5 attack levels first would make the 5 strength levels easier than vice-versa, but I have nothing to back that up. If I were you I'd alternate every 3-5 levels to be safe. Hopefully someone will come along with a better answer because I'm interested too. Click on my stats for my no ppot barrows guide
Mylez
I would personally train Strength, then Attack. Not because this is more efficient, merely because for years I have always tried to maintain a higher Strength than Attack. Since the days of RSC when it was frowned upon to have a higher Attack. Try it yourself, see what suits you. If you have the motivation required to see one all the way to 99, then switch to the other; I expect this would be most cost effective and efficient. Good luck! Hegelstad
Train strength before attack because its more efficient. Strenght increases you dps, but attack only determines if you hit or not, so when fighting AZs you should have no problem hitting as they are low levelled. Then maximize damage output with higher strength. However you should get 80 attack for a rapier first ;-) My lame drops:6 Effigys1 D Med - 1 D Dagger1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody
Th e Doctor
At AZ's your accuracy is so rediculously high (with piety and salve (e) and given your attack is 87 and you're using at least a saradomin sword/whip to train) that the only thing that will increase your exp/hr is your strength bonus and strength level. That means you only need super strength potions (extremes arent worth it due to losing the additional boost when you go to the altar to recharge) and your best str boosting equipment (void if you have it). Once strength is 99 get attack up to 99 so that getting defense will be easy no matter where you choose to go. JPMC Mate
Really? I thought using Extremes and altar would be better. You learn something new everyday. :P Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.
muggiwhplar
You can't use extremes or overloads at AZs since free trade last time I heard... while you're instanced in "safe" wilderness, the game still thinks you're in the wilderness-- a place where extremes and overloads aren't allowed. And if you're gonna use prayer pots you'd probably be better off training at the ape atoll skeletons since you can also bring a combat familiar with you there. JPMC Mate
Actually, there is an alternate way to the AZs and those aren't in the wild. Really? JPMC Mate
^ Idk if there is an altar there, but I'd really like to know what the reasoning behind Exts and P Pots being better are. Really? muggiwhplar
^ Idk if there is an altar there, but I'd really like to know what the reasoning behind Exts and P Pots being better are. Because extreme pots give a bigger boost than super pots. You can't use extremes at armored zombies w/o using prayer potions. When you go to the altar, you lose the extreme boost. Since you can't use extremes w/o prayer potions, it'd be logical to switch to monkey skeletons instead and be able to use a familiar to give more xp/hour. The only reason to kill AZs w/ extremes and prayer pots would be if you really wanted their drops.
JPMC Mate
That's true. I still don't see how having unlimited prayer is worse than using p pots. Really? Sir_Squab
The prayer altar above the Armoured Zombies is set to imitate a prayer altar in the wilderness. Like the wilderness, if you bring extreme potions there, they get scaled down to super potions. Hence recharging prayer frequently is detrimental to your exp/h. But now I have no reason to train there, especially when prayer potions are so incredibly cheap!
