squidsquash
I planned on getting a bonecrusher as my first purchase, since I plan on camping at azs a lot in the near future and I thought it would be very helpful, but I hear a lot of people saying it is not that great and there are many better options? So, if you have a bonecrusher, is it worth it to buy? Or should I get scroll of life/cleasning first? I really don't see myself getting 80 dunge any time soon, so I do not plan on saving up 200k coins for a rapier. Any input would be nice
Sir_Squab
Honestly, do you realize how little exp a normal bone gives you? 4.5 exp. On the other hand, you get 340exp (not including HP) for every zombie killed. You need to kill one zombie every 15 seconds to get 1k prayer exp/h there. If you don't intend to get high enough DG for a chaotic, you should never waste your tokens on a bonecrusher. Honestly, the best thing to use the bonecrusher for is hunting, and just so you don't get your inventory cluttered with bones, not for the exp. Now, if you were F2P, it might be another story. shasta_sms
I personally got 99 prayer before dungeoneering so I can't be any help in that respect. I however can say that the scroll of life is great especially if you farm alot. Personally I farm between doing things, like I will do a farm run when I get bored of mining, or between slayer tasks. Really only works for the lower level'ed hunters only (once you unlock chins - you really don't need to train on anything that drops bones) Also, it's a nice item to have when on slayer. However, like he said - it's not worth it if you don't plan on dg in the future.
Pballer007
Don't bother, the xp is minimal. It does do a wonderful job of keeping the area clean though. I am not mad I got it, but IMO it is a waste of tokens.
Aslan
You're better off getting a herbicide, for slayer tasks, to clean the lower leveled herb drops.Get scroll of life(for obvious reasons) then save for a chaotic imo.

Would would a herbicide be more effective then a bonecrusher?Herbicides are terrible - and you'll get barely (if any) more exp per hour then prayer. Plus prayer exp is more expensive then herblore exp.
Hamtaro
I have a bonecrusher. It's really only useful for clearing the floor of bone drops. I killed thousands of giant skeletons for 99 defence (with salve ammy) and the xp gain using bonecrusher was minimal. Player since 2004. Bonecrusher isn't even decent for slayer, while herbicide can be used when canooning tasks for example or camping crawlers.Any form of camping(as most campable monsters drop herbs), while not that many drop bones that the crusher can use. Unhesitating
If you killed 10k az's, thats 10k bone drops. thats 40k prayer exp. Not worth it for what you're wanting to do imo. And about the herbicide, it's helpful because you can use it to burn the low priced herbs. that way, when you see an herb, you know it's one you want to pick up. Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

highlanders
I bought it and it turned out to be mostly a waste of tokens. I think it would be somewhat useful for somebody that kills a lot of dragons and doesn't want to bank the bones, kinda like a dragon bones version of urns. But on normal and big bones the XP is so small it's not worth it. 2480+ total
Dax
I'd say get it if you're obsessive about burying them, I was totally inefficient and buried every bone (Awww yeah) before I got it, so it helped me heaps. It'd probably be more worth it to go and get a Rapier, may as well have the best you can get for camping AZ's. #KERR2016/17/18/19/20/21. #rpgformod
