93 summoning worth it?

Hello TIF,

I was wondering if i should go ahead and get 93 when i have the charms. Right now i have the charms for 92 but im fairly close to 93 so i was wondering if getting 93 would be worth it since that not only unlocks the Wolper (which i will soon be using to mage all my tasks i can for slayer since im maxed melee's) but also the Abyssal Titan (for p ess mining and to complete my ard elite diary's). I plan to mine the p ess i need for 75 rcing anyways so i just figured if im going to do that i might as well get the abby titan to bank it for me.

You should train summoning to 92 to unlock Wolpertingers asap.

Training summoning to 93 is always a good idea - especially if you have the charms. (You have to use them anyways - it's not like you'll get any more exp out of 1 charm today rather then tomorrow)

However, rushing to 93 just for the Abyssal Titan is probably not the best idea.

Pure essences are crashing now - and they've been buying for way less the GE median for the past few days.

If you have a few mil spare - just go and buy a few hundred k worth of pure essence.

They're something that is sold in relatively large numbers and I don't suppose that they'll drop past 100 or so.

Because of this, I don't think that mining the essence to use in RC would be the best method to train.

You obtain extremely poor exp for mining it and RC is slow enough as it is - that would just make everything slower.

However, if you're one of those players that like to create stuff from start to finish - Good luck to you.

You should definately get 92 ASAP, it unlocks t10 ragers and slingers in dungeoneering, which are two of the most useful familiars.

93 doesn't offer much, the Abyss titan holds just as much ess as lurker/parasite, and it lasts shorter than the other two. If you want to use it to bank ess then it would be great.

If you ask me, the only thing 93 summon truly offers is beating the elite ardy diary.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

going off the information that litterbug gave me at this point that's the only thing i can see it being useful for now lol...so i will definantly get 92 then i'll just save all the rest of my charms until 95 for iron titan.

I'd get it now if you're not compromising your bank - 93 summoning is better than 93 because of the diary only, but that's still a good reason especially if you farm herbs a lot. You definitely should in my opinion.

150k free xp in lamps is also nice, if you intend to save those anyway it's perhaps not worth getting now.

Also it depends on how much you like collecting charms.

If you don't like collecting charms, you should leave your charms until you have enough for 95/96 because you will end up needing less charms. The extra gold and green you collect can raise your exp closer to 91 meaning you will use more of your crims on wolper hence getting the best exp from your charms.

^Wolpers are extremely annoying to make as you can do only 12 per inventory. I wouldn't recommend doing them at all if you have the patience (I didn't so I made swamp titans :P).

They are annoying to make yes but they might end up more efficient seeing as making the pouches themselves are the fastest part of summon training.

For 1.2m xp you need 3250 swamp titans or about 3000 wolpertingers, that's ~2 hrs worth of charm gathering. You save about an hour of time doing swamp titans.

On the other hand, gathering charms for ~2 hours gets you combat xp too. So if you count in that 1 hr saved, you get combat xp for 2 hrs at waterfiends + loot in only one additional hour spent, for 160k melee xp/hr, or perhaps 1 effigy at black demons or so.

So imo it's pretty much even, do whatever you like.

Edit: I made swamp titans at the time because rabbit meat didn't buy at 1k (guide price being like 400 gp) so that put second/shard cost a bit higher for wolpers too.

If you intend on slaying a lot with magic. You'll want 92 for a wolper. You'll want to be able to open the effigys you get while slaying. So get 93 if you have the charms, there's really no reason not to if you already have everything needed.

The OP only has two skills he can open effigies with - cooking and summoning so I don't think it'll make that much of a different to him.

Actually it will. He will now be able to do level 93 summoning effigys instead of only 91. Summoning is paired with runecrafting it isn't exactly easy to find a 93 runecrafting assistance.

summoning is not assistable(and only one of every effigy pairing skill is).

First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.

First to 3766 Port Score on 20. March, 2014.

First to 4664 Port Score on 2. March, 2015.

Thanks I was unaware

/sarcasm

I'm saying he won't have to look for the assistable skill for that effigy if he has one already. So why not go ahead and get 93 so you would only have to find assists for 95 and 97 runecrafting/summoning effigys.
