So how good are the godswords. I am a level 85 combat and i have 70 attack currently, was wondering if it would be worth it to get 75 attack and buy a godsword so i have something to train strength with still. How does a godsword compare to say a brackish blade or an abyssal whip?

Godswords are pretty much redundant these days other than a couple of very specific uses (IIRC one is useful for cwars or something).

If you want a strength weapon (without going for chaotics from dg which pwn) stick with Brackish Blade or Korsari's Sword or Saradomin's Sword or even Enhanced Excalibur.

As Sy said Godswords do not really have much of a use these days. If you are planing to train strength then your best bet would be the brackish blade, as I assume you aren't considering going for a chaotic at this point in time. It would be worth getting 75 attack anyway, just for the extra accuracy or even 80 if you eventually decide to get a chaotic.

Yea, godsword > rune long for dps.

 

But if you want strength training then a brackish blade, whip, korsais or even d scimmy are better then a godsword. Use a defender as well, preferably dragon.

Just use the best strength weapon for your stats: saradomin sword....

Hence my use of "even" showing it is an obscure option and notable cruddy stats illustrating how pointless GS buying is if even EE would prob be a better choice.

Saradomin sword is the best non chaotic weapon for strength training, whip for atk and str.

Every Godsword has a better alternative for their specs

 

Zamorak - A whole spell book.... (ancient magicks)

Saradomin - Enhanced excalibur, Soul split

Armadyl - Korasi, d claws

Bandos - .....well I guess Statius hammer...it doesn't really have much that's Better then it....but the spec is just overall pointless anyways other then at corp maybe.

 

Don't get a godsword, your money is much better spent elsewhere

Ok so buy a saradomin sword then is what i'm hearing? I have brackish now. Basically yeah, looking for the 2nd best weapon (1st being chaotic of course)

 

also, is saradomin sword 2h or 1h?

for training, godswords where outdated the second they came out.

 

whips, brackishblade, dragon scim, saradomin sword, chaotic rapier (and probably chaotic long) and korasi all are faster xp.

 

for training str: chaotic rapier > saradomin sword > korasis sword > dscim = brackish blade > godsword.

for training attack or defence: chaotic rapier > whip > all.

 

and yes, saradomin sword is 2h.

The torstol's from the rare drop table. It's probably a bot who killed it, but was programmed not to pick it up :S. Enjoy the free mill ;)
