At what level is it efficient to use an effigy

Hey guys, I wanted to use my effigies on runecrafting but seeing as it's only 75 at the moment, what level does it become best to use a dragonkin lamp on the skill? Obviously the higher the better but what are your opinions as to what the optimal level is?

Not quite considing one lamp, even with level 99, never surpasses hourly xp rates for rc if I use zmi correctly, hence my question :)

I myself am getting 88 right now then doing a few Diaries and using lamps for around 90 maybe. After that I can finally start using my effigies lol :>

well - looking at your stats, it looks like you can either use it on slayer/runecrafting (well - that's where you would use it)

 

Since you have to max your combats (if you're going for end game), I would suggest just using all your dragonkin lamps on RC.

Isn't using them at 98 the most efficient? As far as I know there isn't any increase in xp/hr between 90 and 99 in rc. Xp gained from lamps: 90 = 36090xp, 98 = 46589xp... a difference of 10499. If you had 10 in the bank for example that would be over 100k worth of xp you'd be throwing away if you used them at 90 rather than 98.

I only have 4 at the moment but I've only started slaying so I'll be getting a bit more. So 98 would probably be the optimal level?

It looks that way. If you managed to get another 23 lamps from slayer etc and used them when you hit 98 rc you'd skip that level and be wearing a shiny new rc cape right away (and would have gained an extra 283k xp rather than if you'd used them at 90).

The most efficient, in all likelyhood, would be 86-88, assuming you gather alot of effigies. Basically, your goal is to use all the lamps at higher levels and the normal xp as soon as possible. If you have enough effigies gathered, you should be able to get 86-88 from starved, 88-90 from nourished, 90-92 from sated and 92- whatever level you can get from gorged, and then dump all lamps onto rc, but given that it would take around 400 effigies for this and the later levels only require ~120(if you value xp over 99 this would be the absolute best course, still), coupled with the fact that rc is by far the slowest skill(lamps should always be used on rc no matter what) the actual starting level should be somewhere in the 80s, banking all rc req effigies you get(around half).

and will he gain enough effigy from 99 slayer for 99 rc starting at 85? or less..

Alright so it seems as if I plan to get 99 slayer, I should start using them in the 80s, otherwise using them at level 90+ would be better. Is that a fair assumption?

 

I guess I do plan on maxing slayer as I do plan on maxing out all skills at one point or another so should I just be saving them all from an efficiency standpoint?
