I got 80 dung for CLS so I could solo bandos but my gear isn't good enough and I can only get 5-6 kills a trip.

 

I've thought about getting 85+ dung for rapier to use at frosts, but only if it's a good money maker and it's going to be worth my time.

 

I've heard its filled with bots but if it's going to get me a good 2m-3m per hour then I'll get 85 dung.

 

I'm maxed melee btw and also have yak.

You should get a rapier anyways. The versatility of it is well worth it.

 

I've heard that frosts are worse than they used to be, but still alright for making cash.

I'm finding it too hard to even be able to attack a dragon due to how crowded it is there. Coupled with the crashed price in frost bones it's probably worse than greens.

Used to be, there are much better ways of making money now. Not only is it exponentially more crowded but bones have dropped. I'd be amazed if you could find a world with less than 2 people per frost spawn.

Seriously. I'm constantly hearing about better methods, yet it's almost like you need to be part of some sort of secret cult just to find out what they are. :unsure:

it is only a good money maker, if less people know about it, the more people know about it, the more people will do it and that alone will make it less of a money maker. It is just like flipping, you cant tell anyone else how to do it, because then you are shooting yourself in the foot, as others will copy and kill your method.

 

I wish someone would tell me the secret to flipping, but it doesnt work like that. Once large amounts of people know about a good method, it will shortly cease to be a good money making method.

I think they are interested in options besides the endgame boss.

Frosts are still fine for money making. I went there the other day with no cannon and welfare gear (rune plate and legs, neitiznot helm, barrows gloves, firecape, d boots, glory ammy, d def and chaotic rapier). I was broke after staking and just looking to make a bit of money. Even with all the bots there and not having a cannon myself, I was able to average 1.8-2.2M an hour using overloads and banking with yak scrolls. Doesn't seem like too bad of a money maker to me.

You must have had a lot less competition than I've been seeing lately. Granted I haven't killed a frost dragon in over a month but I've gone to the dungeon a few times and hopped worlds a dozen times each without finding a world with less than four to a side. With your maxed stats, rapier, overloads and yak you can make exponentially more money than those above you can. I still find it hard to believe you're averaging over 2 kills a minute without a cannon, not to say you couldn't kill them fast enough, but just waiting for the spawn with those crowds.

Is that figure profit or cash made? I've moved on to other moneymaker because frosts dropped to <1mil profit/hour for me...

TDS, DKS, flipping, my secretish moneymaker that I don't want to get too popular. All better then Frost Dragons at the moment.

 

TDS are only better though if you value the charms and effigies.
