First day of members - What Do?

Featured Replies

I had some left over money on a Visa prepaid card, so I decided to sign up for a month of members. Thing is, I have no clue what to do or where to start. My stats are below

(+ 22 mage, 24 range and 24 RC)

I'd like to explore the members world without getting myself killed, and make a bit of money (I only have 300k). Any pieces of advice or ideas are welcome.

if youre going to have p2p for long-term, work on questing, and training member skills to balance out your total.

farming/herblore, summon, slayer, just work at stuff gradually, and try to enjoy yourelf.

After wandering around lost for an hour, I made it to the gnome agility course, and trained some agility. What are some good ways to make money in p2p with my stats?

On my first day of members ~5 years ago, I logged on and...... OMG CATS!!!! So, I did the quest and got a cat.

After that I just randomly trained skills for a few months as they caught my interest. Got a good feel of the overall game that way.

I'd go around starting up quests and doing random stuff, getting a cat is nice, unlocking summoning and herblore too (free total levels :P). To make money, get a farming level (33 or so) and farm ranarr. You should be able to quest those levels.

Do you plan on only one month of members? If so take the opportunity to get your prayer up. It's much cheaper in members

PM me in game anytime

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

Barrows gloves are one of the most awesome pieces of equipment there are in the game. Start questing and skilling to be able to claim these - this will give you a good experience of the whole world make you train important skills and give you a good amount of quests and quest points to work towards later goals with and a very good piece of equipment.

Before you get too bogged down with anything, I would suggest you just have some fun, explore, run around, try some minigames, whatever. I remember when I first got members that first week was probly the most fun I've ever had in runescape.

If you only plan on getting it for a month then go do priest in peril and do slayer with manchza Its great fun

Personally, if you're only getting it for a month, go kill dragons for money imo. If you're doing it for long-term, just beat a bunch of quests.

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

I'll probably keep it till the end of summer. I'm trying to get every members skill to 30, but since I plan to return to f2p eventually, getting members equipment is somewhat pointless. After getting the skills to 30, I'd like to level some f2p skills with better members methods and make some money for crafting and prayer.

When I was on my first day of membership, I did the cat quest first, too. :P I also trained some agility at Gnome Course and some slayer (and I fell in love with slayer, directly!) :)

first thing i did was some gnome quests (i think for spirit trees) and castle wars.

since then, i've played around 2300 more castle war games

"Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity

I'd say do a few quests for fun first. I can't think of many good money making methods that are low-level and not infested with bots. Also, get at least 43 Prayer before your membership ends - it's sooo much easier with a Gilded altar.

Just want to remind you, when you p2p, there is no way back to f2p. It will simply feel empty and boring.

I figured that much. I won't have time to play during the school year though, I have an insane courseload.

The problem I have with quests is I can't figure them out on my own, but I feel like I'm cheating if I use a guide. Prayer is something I'd like to be able to do, but I'm relatively broke (300k).

School and runescape don't mix up well. One will always take away the other.

I really have no idea what you should do during your time in p2p though.

I need a better way to get around, crossing white wolf mountain is a pain. What are some good ways to teleport around?

Most of the teles will need to be unlocked. After you do, you actually never have to walk again. Try to do the fairytale part II. It will unlock the fairy rings, which are incredibly useful.

I think Camelot and Falador are on either side of the mountain. :)

I played pest control a lot when I first got my membership, after awhile I settled down and quested a bit.

I recommend you go and play some of the many p2p minigames. :)
