Aten
I realized I don't have a very clear plan for the end levels of maxing out... these are the stats I haven't maxed yet which I'm not entirely clear how to finish. I should note that I do not value xp past 99. This means that I am saving all effigies if at least one of the pairings is non-maxed, as opposed to my old ways of just trying to open them all as quickly as possible and then using the lamp on thieving (kidding about the thieving bit, of course). - Mining: worth doing HH to get juju pots? Current method is Obsidian golem + horn + urns at LRC, banking. Is LFM faster? I haven't tried it yet. I have 99 smith banked already and I intend to finish it once I buy p2p again, and I don't value xp past 99 so I'd rather not superheat the gold. Of course, as soon as I get 83 summoning the golem will be swapped for a lava titan. - Slayer: I'm not entirely sure what a good setup is right now for block/skip/do... my current block list is wyrms, wyverns, fire giants, aquanites (oops) and I skip LRC, spirit mages, warped torts, terror dogs, and Suqahs. My plan was to narrow my do list down to metals, Jad, WFs, black demons, and cannonables (kalphites, spectres, velds, hounds, greaters) in addition to doing black dragons + blue dragons + dusties until I unlock dark beasts/ice wyrms. What's a good slayer list with my end-goal in mind (effigies will be important for rc, charms important for summoning, and some cash to pay for 99 summ since my bank can only just barely cover my other buyables atm)? - Farming: I am so bad at this skill it isn't even funny. I got 80 while doing Livid Farm for vengegroup, but I am seriously clueless right now. I'm a very forgetful person, as well as being terrible with time in general (I always forget to do dailies/weeklies, I check my MTK at all the wrong times, and the last time I tried to do tree runs I forgot about my patches for a week and a half...). Any advice here on what to plant for best xp while still taking into account money constraints? My initial plan was to just stuff every tree patch with magics and every fruit patch with palms. - RC: What is this I don't even. I set an initial goal of 82 and just gave up at 77. Eventually I'll have to come back to this, but what are some good options I have here? I'd made the decision to just do nats/astrals/ZMI until 85, then drop the skill permanently and use all xp rewards + effigies on it. How long would this take, approximately, and is this even a good approach? Also, how much money would I spend at crawlers assuming the average rate of effigies from using the slayer task listed above until 99 slay? Of course, I'll try my best to get my 30k xp/day from assists going as soon as I get 91. - Summoning: Current method is camping Waterfiends at AC with maul, which has been relatively successful for me with one full charging of the chaotic lasting me from 76-84 banked. I've been making granite lobsters with the crims, and saving the blues for geyser titans. Should I keep doing this and then switch to CT fiends after 95? Also, what familiars should I be making? JeRambo
Your slayer skip/block list looks good. Keep slaying for effigies.:) Grow maples/papayas for farming, and do herb runs in between if you want. For mining I'm using lava titan with urns and just dropping ores at LRC gold. I don't have jujus. Runecrafting..do ZMI and penguins for that. Use Task rewards on RC as soon as you can. For summoning I did toads with golds, unis with greens, granite lobsters with crims, and lava/geyser titans with blues, but I heard moss titans make good profit. Cheers. Urza285
You sound so much like me with xp and money and even farming. Really I hate to waste your time with this post, but add me in game when you get a chance. We could talk over a few things. I too am on the same road to maxing (maybe a bit further along) and wouldn't mind discussing it with you. If your like me I think you should get the miners outfit from lfm, use your Titan, skip using urns because they fill too frequently, and possibly get a d pick if you can invest in it. When if comes to skilling I tend to have an efficient yet relaxed approach to things. Maxed [February 14, 2012] | Completionist [October 25, 2012] | Trimmed Completionist [in Progress]Visit my Blog! JPMC Mate
For Slayer, I'd say add Warped Torts to your block list, skip Aquanites, and everything else looks good. I'd also skip Dust Devils as they are very mediocre charms, xp, and bad $. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous. LitterBug
For slayer - Suqahs are cannonable - east of the livid farm patch There's no real secret to farming other then to grind it outPlanting Magics and Palms come out to a little more then a mil during that first multiplier on bonus exp weekend. If you set a memo on your phone/itouch/whatever - you can easily gain close to two mil exp in those few days which would be over 15% of the exp needed aloneThis won't help much with exp but you can always go farming inbetween dgs while waiting for new teams and using that money to buy magic/palms
Urza285
Dude warp torts are a very profitable and easy task even if your sharing the two torts. Quyneax
Torts are virtually no effigies/charms though, which is what the OP needs. I'd say, start doing wyverns (better crims than waterfiends) and skip dusties, also do black dragons as they are great effigies and slayer xp, as well as decent enough charms. Juju mining is worth it imo, as it really reduces the rate at which you have to drop/alch just about enough to afk part of the time. Lava flow isn't worth it unless you want the outfit. Well if you can afford to stuff every patch with mage/palm, that's fine. Be sure to farm calquat and Herblore Habitat herbs + your regular torstol runs (at 85, with juju & sol). If you value farming xp high enough to do magics, one farm run is like 500k gp. ZMI then effigies/xp rewards/assists sounds good, Karamja elite at least, also Fremminik I think, both require 86/87? Barker toad with gold, fruit bat or unicorn with green (can make scrolls if you want), rock lobster > swamp titan > iron titan > yak with crims (wolpers are too slow), lava titan with blue until you're out of obsidian charms, then switch to geysers. Quyneax
You get more crimsons per hour? You don't get as many gold/green/blue but still 20 more crims. After 95 summoning waterfiends become faster because you can use an iron titan. BluePain
If you don't value exp past 99, I suggest you stop gathering charms outside slayer once you reach 95 so you can use iron titan to speed up some multi tasks. Maybe 96 if you want to make some profit on your dragon tasks although I wouldn't recommend it seeing the prices of dragons are extremely low and it's alot easier to just use a bonecrusher

You'll gain enough effigy's and charms to efficiently raise both skills, while raising slayer as well. http://i612.photobucket.com/albums/tt206/samtheninja/Tags/FEARLESStag.jpg http://i787.photobucket.com/albums/yy156/song4thedeaf/stuff.png what i'm doing now: https://linktr.ee/student1
BluePain
If you aren't lvl 99 magic, you can try low alching your gold ores. I been told it's faster exp then superheating and dropping.
