As I grew up I was given many many chances to play with my brothers, play sports, I can wear pants but you can't wear skirts (socially speaking, wear whatever you want and [bleep]ing embrace it :thumbup:), etc. My brothers weren't as allowed, or it was frowned upon, to do pink princessy shit with me, which is I guess what you were getting at. How dare they lower themselves to feminine stuff :rolleyes:. What I'm trying to get at is how family/peers subconsciously thought of femininity as lower than masculinity, even while thinking males and females are/should be equal. Also it was kinda nice growing up being the youngest but still getting new stuff. Hence, Lego Friends (lego designed for girls) is purple. Like, what's wrong with green? Hence Lego decided "Hey, friends, like every single solitary other product on the world made for girls, is pink and/or purple. Therefore, we should put them in non-rectangular boxes so they stand out more amongst all the other pink and purple boxes." [bleep] THOSE BOXES I HATE THEM AND HOPE THEY DIE (seriously tho, they're a pain and make me hate lego friends)you're right there's nothing wrong with pink and purple, they're traditionally feminine colours. So why do you hate those legos for being in feminine colours? People seem to agree with equality for women but not equality for femininity :/ Obligatory lolzimmerman post. I wasn't expecting much else from the state that had the Casey Anthony trial and elected Bush twice, but I do find the people celebrating kind of disturbing. Honestly, my primary reason for hating it is the non-rectangular boxes. I wouldn't have a single problem with them being pink and purple if they were in pink and purple rectangles, as opposed to curved out at the front. Also, stuff made primarily for boys is in all sorts of colours. Stuff for girls is pigeonholed into a few colours. It is also worth nothing that the idea of pink/purple being girly colours is actually relatively new - in the early like 20s or 30s there were debates on whether or not pink is a manly enough colour for young boys.
