LRC superheat mining for 99 mining/smithing/magic

VARN

Recommended Posts

I would like more details on this method: should I use gold mining armor, with varrock plate and mine a full inventory, then switch to gold smithing gauntlets and superheat; or should I just forget about the gold armor?

I do intend on banking the bars.

Hope this helps

Edit: You want to bank the bars? It's kind of pointless, but eh

No idea why you'd want to do an "efficent" method and then kill it by having to bank for 100gp a bar

But, if you wanted to super heat, just wear your full gold mining, minus the gloves

To switch at the end and then smith them all is just stupid

Do the method that is shown in the vid, except dropping

Varrock plate bonus > gold plate bonus

Gold plate works the same as a varrock plate, while also giving the xp % bonus

Only when wearing the full set. You should use Varrock armour, gold mining legs/helm/boots, and goldsmithing gloves.

Will the Varrock armour work without wearing the gold armour gloves?

It's also worth nothing that you'll gain far less experience in magic and smithing, than in mining. Just a rough estimate is .81 smithing experience and .63 magic experience per 1 mining experience. You could alch the gold bars, which would be more costly, and gain a much higher ratio of magic experience.

I'm also going to confirm what everyone else is saying: don't bank the bars.

The full gold mining set provides a 2.5% xp bonus to mining xp (no gold pickaxe needed)

Varrock armour 3 and 4 give you a chance to mine an additional ore and get the xp for that ore. It works out to be some 10% bonus xp.

The full gold mining set, when worn by someone who also has the Varrock armour, will act as both sets at once.

Wearing only part of the gold mining outfit will get you a smaller straight-up xp boost and not provide the Varrock armour effect. You can give up the gold mining platebody for Varrock armour though.

Some people are poor.

They may need the 21.6m gp from the bars from 80-99.

Granted, if they need the 21m that badly, I suppose they probably shouldn't be superheat mining.

EDIT:

Also dropping is hardcore taxing.

I don't have any experience here due to my hatred of mining, but can't you alch the bars for even better magic experience and an easier form of dropping? Or does that interrupt the superheating?

Looking at it purely from statistics, banking the bars would be silly. The whole point is you get maximum experience, why cut into that by banking fairly worthless bars?

@ Alching the bars: there isn't enough time to cast two alchemy spells per ore you mine, as it is, getting in enough superheat casts is hard enough.
