Since I got this mask of the abyss (a week or two ago), I'm now doing abyss on task with slayer challenges each day (cause free spins etc.). Got a triskellion piece today, my first ever :P.

 

Edit: 16m rc, also 14m slay upcoming. 200k+ rc today.

20m def, 14m slay, 16m pray. Not actually going for xp milestones, just using up bonus xp and finishing slayer masks (abyss, dusties). Prismatic lamps etc. are going on Divination, gained about a thousand ranks just doing Troll Invasion earlier...

Killing tuskans! They're alright*, finally a monster with fair defence (using chaotics off-task here, cba with drygores). Journal complete, which is easy, and 4/6 mask parts (one is double, but you can trade them apparently). Lots and lots of alchs and one sirenic scale so far. Hoping for triskellion pieces 2 & 3 sometime, or an elite or something.

 

*Probably the nicest slayer monster now, with 15k+ health they don't go down too fast, chaotics still miss often enough, you don't need food or continuous soul split, and poison hits for 300-500 damage per kill, which makes it fun to use. I still maintain that releasing one monster like this is a bit random, meagre and an easy way to get a weeks update done, but it's at least a good monster. I'd rather have liked at least a crazy huge dungeon with all sorts of monsters, like Brimhaven or Taverly, and putting tuskans at the end or something (with shortcuts ofc).

Finished the Tuska mask! I got five pieces as drop (three tops, one of each tusk) and traded for the plate and headpiece. No phony mask buying for me! Also, airut are still good monsters.

Finished abyssal mask! The 'double loot every 10th kill' thing got me a whip (4 total, for 900 abyss), but no abyssal heads so far :(.

Say you have a 65 kg, 175 cm human. Weight goes up with the cube of the height, assuming constant density and ratio between measures. Meaning that a 175 * 3 = 525 cm human would be expected to weigh 65 * 3³ = 1755 kg. As it happens, an average male giraffe weighs some 1600 kg at a height of 5-6 metres, which is close enough. It's nice when things work out.

 

This also tells us that in terms of ridiculously-out-of-place height, humans are as bad as giraffes. If you ever laughed at giraffes for being tall, now would be the time to reconsider.

Octarine is now the leader of Collam Daan! I stepped down because I intend to be a whole lot less active on RS (lobbyscape to talk to people, no more) as I think too many recent updates are horrible etc. etc., you've all heard this in great detail before I'm sure. I'll still be on tif as usual.

How active is cd as a whole?  I'm on 07 only a little bit really, but its still a shame that you can't access clan chats from there... its so lonely :(

Prediction of content for 2014:

• Inventing, which will be as grindy as Divination, but costlier.
• Six quests, two bad, two mediocre, two good.
• Fifty SoF promotions.
• Fifty new Solomon's wares.
• A world event, mostly grinding and no tactics.
• Twenty patch note-worthy 'updates' with no lasting impact on the game.
• A disappointing elf city, again with no real impact except a tick faster bank/ge tele.
• A skill rework, but it'll be really unbalanced for the first few months.
• No EoC changes, no rebalancing.
• A new way to spend money on the game.

Of course this is a list I made so that I'll be glad to be wrong, but still. I'm having trouble estimating how low my estimates of Jagex' ability to design a game should be.

 

Let's see how wrong I am.
