Hoping they'll actually come out this year, so we get to play with new gear before EoC.

I'm excited but they weren't in the BTS so now I'm mad.

 

But at least now they'll come out after I max so I can do anything.

Definitely hope they'll be like strategic MTK or something. Running an esoteric business empire kinda suits our adventuring capacities and the connections we build up over time. I also hope dailies like pure essence and sand all get integrated so you won't have to collect each separately anymore -.-.

QBD the new skilling boss!?

 

One of the new skills planned for 2013 (let's call it sailing) features swimming. Of course this opens up many new areas to explore. The most shocking of these is probably the back of the Queen Black Dragon. After all, when you can just get behind her, why deal with her dangerous front end!? Once safely seated on her back, she'll transform into a mining and woodcutting challenge! This is part of Jagex' evil plot to get combat lovers to skill, and must be dealt with ASAP. Riot etc. etc.

Got 95 fishing and 95+ stats last night, 3 levels for 96+ (hunt, thief, fish) but they're all kinda far off :/.

EASTERN LANDS;

-Player Owned Ports will be largely tied in to Eastern Lands, 6 different campaigns, each has sea singers, sea monsters, and rulers.

I think PoP will be as grindy as (pre-fix) Dominion Tower, as useful as 400 MA rank, as glamorous as Livid Farm, and in gameplay comparable to hunting the Thalassus.

I did a bit of testing to try to gauge effective armour values because Jagex absolutely refuses to release proper stats for the equip interface.

 

I tanked out vyrelords, because I'm lazy I used samples of 100 attacks (but will look into getting larger samples some other time).

 

With a total of 799 armour, 722 from ranged class items and 77 from all class items, I took 20 hits from the vyrelords.

With a total of 722 armour, purely from ranged class, I took 7 hits.

From what I can tell, either using pure class armour gives some sort of not-shown bonus, or not using pure class armour gives a penalty.

 

They really need to show us more information on this.

Mixing armour is supposed to result in a penalty, but I'm not really seeing that just yet - it only seems to be all class armour that trips something strange, reducing your overall defence.

 

PS I'm not happy with that.

Ugh. All the more reason for them to show us the bloody stats.
