Was with comp cape sadly, so that would include the fire cape boost afaik.

 

I thought Overloads did more than just raise the hit by the levels boosted - in earlier research my max hits with abilities increased by over 100 for the extra 17 levels.

On the assumption that Fire magic is 2x damage on ice strykes, it looks like the Fire cape effect adds 200 damage.

 

EDIT: Used Vine Whip + EEE, Massacre critical hit was 3133 (slayer task), supposed to be 157% of both weapon's damage.

Ok you're right, overload boosted my punching max hit from 99 to 252-259

Which is a 2.17-2.23 boost over 117 or 2.5-2.62 boost over 99

 

Has anyone actually tried punching at 1 strength and seeing if they only hit 1? It would be much easier to confirm, I can only say that my max punching without boosts is between 99 and 103.7

Did some testing on dual wielding, using Fire Surge, no potions, no prayers. Max hit according tot the Combat Stats interface was 867. My sample size is 1,000 casts.

 

Highest normal hit: 669

Highest critical hit from normal attack: 833

Highest normal hit while under the metamorphosis effect: 1,257

 

I think it's pretty safe to say that critical hits do 25% extra damage.

I hit a max of 2710 with dragon breath while metamorphosis was active. I was using slayer helm, water surge and overloads. You may be able to use that to see if abilities stack and how they stack. I was doing a jad task and noticed it, sorry there are so many factors involved.

I also hit 1380 with chain on the two monsters it hit. I do not know the max hit of chain itself but you can use that to see what the max hit of the 2 secondary attacks of chain are compared to the regular max hit. As with the above, I had overload and slayer helm on and using water surge.

I'm pretty sure the base max (no pots/prayer/fsh) for chain secondary hits is the same as for the primary hit, I've had some crits on secondaries and they were the same.

With Torment on, using Wreck, I get a 20% boost. Using Chain, I get a 25% boost. Using Asphyxiate, I get a 15% boost.

 

By the way, did you know that abilities don't interfere with auto attacks for Magic? Save for Asphyxiate, because you channel that ability. So it is best to use abilities to fill in the void that you have in between of your normal attacks.

I'd guess that Torment boosts based on your spell damage, not your ability damage? A 20% damage boost on Wrack (125% spell damage -> 150% spell damage) is the same amount as a 25% damage boost on Chain (100% spell damage -> 125% spell damage)

 

I think I posted that data a few pages ago, albeit with Slayer helm bonuses.

I've been skipping all my scroll missions (two) like a bad boy lol. Might wait until I get Hook seamen before trying for scrolls in Skull, or see if the scroll rates are better in Hook.

 

Anyway there's still the issue of trade goods and the workshop, so I'll probably just stick to resource voyages for quite a bit.

I have all the gunpowder ship upgrades & the warehouse upgrade, so I don't really need more gunpowder :P. Sent a scroll voyage at 88% now, 3 musketeers, a cyclops and an overseer for 5000 combat (also used powder keg). My captain is great, having Eager and twice Eagle-eyed, totalling 200 morale, 300 combat, 320 seafaring and 140 speed :D. Didn't fail any voyage today, so up to 3k+ chimes, 1k+ bamboo and 500+ gunpowder. 91% to next zone now.

 

Does anyone have a level 6 crew member? All my highest are 5, even though some are 5+ voyages more experienced.

 

Also as a matter of interest I got 97 smithing, 96 fishing and 106 dungeoneering. 2467 total now - 2 more mining/smithing/fletching, 3 more hunter/fishing/thieving, 14 more dungeoneering.

Getting that, getting that. Already succeeded on a special mission for 250 gunpowder and a second batch is coming in soon. After today I should be at 1500 gunpowder or so. One 6k morale mission is going to be a problem, but if I make that too it's 250 more :).

 

Edit: Sent a 100% mission for 100 slate (2400 seafaring/combat, was able to add a merchant and keep 100% even), and a 74% scroll attempt, 3k combat/morale required.

 

Also, my first mate levelled to 6, but only after reaching the Hook. Coincidence??? (probably)

Cool, thanks. Getting a scroll piece got me 3 points, maybe you get fewer points for scroll parts 2/3/4 but idk.

 

Sent a 66% mission to unlock Chimeras and a 79% mission to get some more slate. Available are 2 more slate voyages (4k seafaring and 4k combat), one reroll and a special which provides you with the trait quick-footed, 2800 in every stat required.

 

Edit: both failed, now waiting on more slate missions (over 80% both). Today, three missions already failed, at 52%, 66% and 79%. Getting annoying now.

What's the quickfooted trait do? Improved survival if the ship goes down?

PoP wise, not much going on, bought the slate seafaring hull, bought two Katana clansmen, had to dismiss one for being cursed (the other is eagle-eyed), got only 200 slate now so hoping the Whaler 300 slate mission works, then I'll be able to get one deck upgrade. Still need gigatons of bamboo&powder for port upgrades though :/.

Both my specials for 300 slate came back and succeeded, so yay :D. Now I have two eagle-eyed golden katana clansmen and also two bannermen. I can get about 5100 seafaring atm ^^.
