spamming is 1 abil every 3 ticks, although abilities that hit multiple targets like cleave, dragonbreath etc sometimes take extra tick(s) to show hitsplat. combos are as advertised although you can always add a reg abil on last hit of a combo (even snapshot, as soon as you press you should hit next abil unless using a wep that would do less w/ abil than reg and adren doesn't matter)

Afaik all the stuns have a shared cooldown (barge, bash, kick, backhand, impact, binding shot?) as well as all the movement (surge, escape, barge) and then the two dual wield basics (havoc, decimate).

It'd be cool to have hybrid weapons, as in:

Hand-and-a-half swords, warhammers, axes, spears (hasta?) which are 2h weapons, or 1h weapons with a shield 'unsheathed' (so you can keep it equipped but inactive). You could make a simple mechanic where they gain 1 attack speed when used 2h. As lighter 2h weapons, they'd be fast for 2h or slow for 1h.

Staff weapons and stuff you can spina round, as hybrid dual wield/2h - can use both abilities.

Hybrid shield/dual wield - defenders! Up to the highest tier please :D.

 

Idk what they would be for ranged though. Guess you could have hand-and-a-half crossbows and javelins, and detachable shieldbows?? point is it should be easy to switch between them though, without getting the global cooldown for gear switching. Shield/dual and 2h/dual would be weird though.

 

For magic it's easy because it's all made up anyway. Get your shortstaff, your off-hand shield-orb-force-thingy and your two-headed staff ready for battle :P.

 

Edit: Naturally you can make a 3x3 table with weaknesses:

 

Stab/slash/crush

Arrow/thrown/bolt

Water/earth/fire (???)

Air is left over, how inconvenient (no-weakness spell? idk). Either way, your monsters would be weak to one corner of the triangle and one corner of the other triangle.

What's the best way to fight Imps and Earth warriors for scroll now?

Imps I imagine you want to kill them with ricochet in the lesser demon resource dungeon. Cannon doesn't tag them so it's not useful.

Earth warriors haven't changed really. Edgeville dungeon, they have 2800 lp or something, so it should be fairly quick, not sure if you can cannon.

 

Anyway, got the skeletal champion scroll and beat the champion (1000 lp). 4 down.

That's about my setup atm, I have 3 bounty hunters and one oxhead instead of a merchant, but the same captains. My judges are 10/10/9, my oxheads are 8/7/7/6 or 8/8/7/6 or something, harems/bands are 6-8 range atm, tigers 5 and 7, two bounty hunters are 10. Captains are pretty low as I only got good ones past max distance, so level 9/8/6/4/4. I do have another merchant rolled for when I focus entirely on trade goods, but for now I want traits as well, so yeah. Probably going to ditch a combat crew once I get that far because no missions really require a lot of combat.

 

Also finished vampirism scroll, sold 11 scrimshaws at a bit over 2.5m each, bought the morale lodgings and that all puts me at 1995 port score. Yum.

OK, tested new Balmung @ DKS. Supreme dies fast but the other two are immune - in fact even drygores won't hit Rex (courtesy of Ambler). You can however hit Rex in torva with drygores if you use magic abilities (not often, but still). Survival is pretty doable, probably can do a full tribrid on a calm world using wand+shield to heal off Rex and ssing Prime, with Pernix equipped (range+mage def, safespot melee except when Resonance is active). Rex is immune to stuns as the others I'm pretty sure, so no more barrage tribrid.

It's a shame you can't look their levels up in the Bestiary. Their combat levels are 156, so they probably have 78 in combat stats.

If that's Intricate or Profound, they basically took a horrible, really bad and pointless requirement and made it really bad and pointless. Hybrid is fine. I guess detailed is doable, though it's still stupidly long, longer even than MA, and that actually has usable rewards. No way people are going to play legit, not when you can just 2v1 boost for 4 tickets/3 games.

Obtaining an equipment set as the requirement might be what it takes to 'revamp' cwars which really is - for now at least - just an AFKFest. Every game there are like 50 people just camping clicking once every now and again (myself included). A requirement that needs wins could force people into actually playing. If I had to guess, I'd probably go with the tier below profound, maybe I'm not as sadistic right now as usual, hopefully this [bleep]head jmod isn't either.

 

Oh well. Time shall tell. Either way, private cwars games lego
