Darkluniux
I argued because if i use your sort of philosofy to call symbols, i'll walking arround calling "Skull and bones thing" to the Jolly roger, nice start made out of stickies to the pentacle, the golden cup to the saint grial.. Just call it Eye, because i'll flame you till the death if you say something like "Hey dude, i think there are hobbits near the grand tree." and some othe random guy WILL say "Yup, and Jagex ripped Qu'lthalas from warcraft to make Tyrandas.. Anyways, i agree with you, this part must be some more important than a random weapon.. But the stones for the balance of the world? I mean, i donnot think because i'm sure if i take my dwarf cannon and blast those rocks till dust it will make the world to collapse. I think the sun rock where divided in middle of a ritual.. My friend, fantasy can take you anywhere, even beyond the wave of time. And no, I do not think that these stones can be damaged by simple weapons. I prefer to think they are marred by what happens in this land. You see the hole in the Eye Rock- Saradominists fought back, and won a few fights. But the splitting of the Sun Rock- more people have fallen to the sway of Zamorak, so many that the good finally could not take the strain and broke. You see it everywhere- clans patrol the Wilderness, killing the weak. Warriors and battle Mages and Rangers are shooting down the innocent. Good simply could not cope, and broke. But it is not yet gone forever, only broken- some of the stone still remains, and those that are still good will fight on, until the stone is finally destroyed. Oh yes, more holes will appear in the Eye Rock, but finally that will be no more, and the world shall be plunged into Chaos and Darkness. Yet, maybe the Eye Rock will finally come to break, and what then? The mortals will be gone forever, and only those beings from the netherworld will remain. The Elements. And the other. And Guthix, the one of balance, will also remain, and maybe he will come again to rebuild the world without balance. For without good there is no evil, and without evil there is no good, and without either there is nothing.

Your last post made me cry, so lets forgot the symbol naming thing..Just donnot call Kokiri to the Hobbits, i mean, elves to the dwarf..arr never mind. Anyways, the Dark side is not ever the bad side.. bUT WHY THIS RUINS IF ARE SOO IMPORTANT BEEING in front of a city without something saying "Donnot touch, the balance of the universe and all our lives depends of this"? Farewell, the acient ones that made this rock altar putted an arcaic wall arround it for protection.. But if the rocks represents and are the sacred balance why they got made-in-chinna cheap sprayed symbols instead of some magic aura glowing? And why no one in the world of Gielinor ever talks about this..? Interesting theory, but i cannot believe in it and if it might be true, i preffer to thing that the world of runescape depends of my nice long hair :) lol. KCHughes
OK, I took the plunge. I sent mine to Aereck and one to WOM himself, accusing him of conspiring to committ evil deeds. Fingers are crossed. :ohnoes: the russians are the best! Hands down!
1alebcay
I'll wright one to thurgo... There are so many things he could have done. As far as our one theory about the orginisation trying to stop summoning, he could have been the one that smithed their weapon. Another thought as far as the rocks go... I have seen rocks like those in real life (on a smaller scale) but they all were in water. (other than the rock that was sheared in two) What has become of the runescape community???? :wall:There is a community?

Farewell, the acient ones that made this rock altar putted an arcaic wall arround it for protection.. But if the rocks represents and are the sacred balance why they got made-in-chinna cheap sprayed symbols instead of some magic aura glowing? So no one ever notices them. They just stroll by, look at them, and think, "Meh, just some stupid rocks." That's how many powerful things have stayed intact- because they go unnoticed. And I think you overlooked one part of my post- I said it might be impossible for weapons to destroy them. But my theory about the stones being marred by what happens in the world would explain the fact that the stone with a sun on it is smashed in two and the stone with the eye/freemasoon symbol/whatever has a gaping hole in it. I think Zaros may be controlling the Wise Old Man to destroy the good and evil stones, so that, er, you know. Just a thought, like. And why no one in the world of Gielinor ever talks about this..? See above. Interesting theory, but i cannot believe in it and if it might be true, Fantasy knows no bounds. i preffer to thing that the world of runescape depends of my nice long hair :) lol. And I'd like to think that I'll bring about the Gielinor Apocalypse and become the most infamous player ever, forever ruling the black void with a blue party hat, Staff of Zamorak, and... I'll stop now. Anyways, can you post the book that Stephen King wrote? I might like to read it. The Dark Tower, a fantasy/sci-fi crossover, but I found the Tower idea quite interesting (not that I believe in it of course). It's 7 books long, and has a pretty rubbish ending, but you should find it mainly enjoyable. It's written for adults however. Another thought as far as the rocks go... I have seen rocks like those in real life (on a smaller scale) but they all were in water. (other than the rock that was sheared in two) Would you mind telling us where this was (if you remember) please? :)
1alebcay
What I meant was I have seen small stones with holes like that in them. If you mess around in creeks long enough (I used to alot) you find stones like that. Also just thinking is there any god associated with the west? All the stones face west or due west and the entrance is on the west side. Just a random way out there thought... what if those are the runes needed to summon. If you don't know runes are letters. What I am thinking is the rune marking on runes might stand for something... I dunno where that came from but oh well. What has become of the runescape community???? :wall:There is a community? KingWenlok
What I meant was I have seen small stones with holes like that in them. If you mess around in creeks long enough (I used to alot) you find stones like that. Oh, sorry. My bad. Also just thinking is there any god associated with the west? All the stones face west or due west and the entrance is on the west side. I'll Google around a bit. I also find it curious that the bankers sometimes face west when they are not helping you withdraw or put items in your bank. The Falador bankers seem to do it more often than the others, oddly enough. Just a random way out there thought... what if those are the runes needed to summon. If you don't know runes are letters. What I am thinking is the rune marking on runes might stand for something... I dunno where that came from but oh well. Mmm, they might indeed, particularly since one of them seems to have a symbol that is very rune-like. Possibly they are Runecrafting altars? Hmmm... summoning would end up becoming the most powerful thing in RuneScape obviously, so maybe these stones are the ultimate power that holds up RuneScape. And maybe summoning isn't all. Maybe there are other powers! Just think what could happen if we managed to work out how to tap into it! But... if these stones do hold up Gielinor, the arrival of summoning would likely destroy them utterly. More demons would come to the world, and so would more White Knights, and other forces of good and evil. The wars would be catastrophic. Hmmm... is Zaros possibly the sort of opposite of balance, instead of what we thought was previously total evil? Didn't Guthix say he created RuneScape? Well, if there was a creator and a one of balance, surely there is also a destroyer and one of unbalance? I really think this is all Zaros' doing. And if he is Bob the Jagex Cat, that would explain why he needs the WOM to do his errands. Hey, maybe I should form a RuneScape religion that preaches the apocalypse and how we should prepare for it.
1alebcay
For those of you who like numbers I just got really bored and found out the locations of each stone. (using tip.its coordinate locater tool) The split rock is 7degrees 25 minutes north and 18 degrees 48 minutes east. The Free mason symbol rock is 7degrees 25 minutes north and 18 degrees 43 minutes east. The swirl rune rock 7degrees 21minutes north and 18 degrees 34 minutes east. The air rune rock is 7degrees 30 minutes north and 18 degrees 45 minutes east. Those are the distances I got with tip.its coordinate location finder. quantumkik
There is a small reference to the WOM in the new penguin quest Cold war. In that quest Larry uses a spell to shrink you. This is the conversation about how he learned that spell . Larry: Well, a while back I was out in the field observing penguins. I worked for the Ardougne Zoo then. I was just quietly observing them when suddenly there was an avalanche. (̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ) I was trapped, but a passing old man stopped to help. He said he would shrink me so I could crawl out from under the weight of the snow. Then he taught me the spell in case I would have need of it again. Me: Seems like a pretty wise old man! 1alebcay
As far as the wizard's tower goes I found something interesting in this month's behind the scenes. The second quest of the month will focus on a newly built tower south of Ardougne... well, almost newly built. You see, the crew hired to build the place have been struggling to come to terms with some really rather odd occurrences and missing tools - either that or the constructors' union has just decided to call a particularly long tea break. The mages due to live in the tower are growing impatient as they have pressing research regarding the true nature of magic and logic ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ and all the arguments that exist in-between. No doubt you̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢ll find yourself wrapped up in such an experiment, especially if it̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s so big it requires an entire tower to be built. Exciting new puzzles, new outfits and a rather novel training dungeon await... A new tower for magicians... and it doesn't say good or evil magicians... Oh ya by the way if you want me to try and gather some info just PM me. (just as long as it doesn't require me to be a member) What has become of the runescape community???? :wall:There is a community?
KCHughes
If the new tower has a secret society in the basement, I'm going to be peeved at Jagex. I drew some lines between the big rocks. The wave rock and the split sun rock had a line that went through Oracle and the Wizard's Tower. The split sun rock and the eye rock had a line that went through Aubrey's shop, the Digsite, and the Temple of Ikov (I think). The eye rock and the swirl rock had a line that went through the Stronghold opening and the Dark Wizard's Tower. Not sure what any of it means. the russians are the best! Hands down! KingWenlok
If the new tower has a secret society in the basement, I'm going to be peeved at Jagex. They might do do it out of pure badness. Well, hopefully they won't, but they do have a sense of humour. Though I think it more likely that Opus Saradomin is in the Wizard's Tower we know and love. I drew some lines between the big rocks. The wave rock and the split sun rock had a line that went through Oracle and the Wizard's Tower. Possibly the Oracle to symbolise wisdom, and the Wizard's Tower for good. The split sun rock and the eye rock had a line that went through Aubrey's shop, the Digsite, and the Temple of Ikov (I think). Maybe the line through Aubrey's shop hints at something (summoning runes)? I'm not a member, so I know little of the other two locations. The eye rock and the swirl rock had a line that went through the Stronghold opening and the Dark Wizard's Tower. Not sure what any of it means. Coincidence, non? Obviously evil and war. Curious that two Wizard Tower's fall into place on the lines of the sun/wave rocks and the eye/swirl rocks. Then there is talk of the new tower... possibly a tower of balance? KCHughes
I'm also fairly certain that a group is down there...maybe a lunatic fringe group, or something. If there wasn't before, there probably is now thanks to Jagex's little spies everywhere. What bothers me about the line that passes the Oracle and the tower is that we've almost proven that the Oracle is a Saradominist, yet it's the Wizard's Tower that seems more sinister because of the Opus Saradomin. It seems like whatever we used to think about both is getting thrown out the window and they're being revealed for what they really are. I think I've figured out the thing on WOM's desk. I read the new quest guide and it said that the penguins want to try to fly for their "invasion." I think WOM came across one of the penguin's prototype flying machines. It's too small for a regular penguin, so it was probably a model built to scale. The penguins are probably mass-producing these flying things now. I wonder, if WOM can use reverse engineering on the thing to build a flying machine for himself, then use it to land on the roof of the Wizard's Tower. the russians are the best! Hands down! Say_Somethin
The seers have been nervous recently following the discovery of some rather disturbing predictions in Phantuwti̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s proverbial tea leaves. Apparently, deep in the darkness, something, or several somethings, are beginning to move. Great powers are once again beginning to shift... but towards what? This admittedly doesn't make much sense, but the seers, as usual, are merely cryptic messengers and very unlikely to be much more help. If these predictions are as ominous as they sound, though, it will be worth keeping your eyes peeled for the unusual over the coming weeks and months. This was in this month's BTS. As I'm not a member, I don't know whether this has some reference to something else, but could it indicate that Jagex are going to release more about the WOM soon? Darkluniux
I think i have solved (finnally) what is that nice thing in the desk of our wise friend.. When you examine it, upon examining it you get the conclusion that it might be some sort of model despicting a vehicle powered with dragon's flatulence.. Ok, how about if it is fully funtional?? Acccording to the new quest, the wise old man save dthe life of a zoo keeper trapped in snow by teaching him a magical spell to "shrink" or become very very very little, so if the wise old man can become very lottle, why not have a little vehicle for himself? I mean, he doesn't need many materials, just a couple of things, then he become little to make the details and pilot his vehicle. That's how he can spy us.. http://darkluniux.blogspot.comBehold my blog! Thou shalt visit it and rejoice!
