Investigating the Wise Old Man

Well... I never really thought, nor cared to think that WOM was Saradomin's son...

Also, I think that the fact that either Iban is Zamorack's son by blood or by pure evil is very important, remember, apparently Ikov is Saradomin's son, by birth or pure goodness we don't know though.

Iban is NOT Zamoracks son by blood, but I belive he was manipulated by Zamorack to belive this though im not sure. But I am 100% certain that Ibans only relationship to Zamorack is mentality and power.

I'm EST, and I think that's 3 PM if it's 7 PM GMT. I used a time converter thing.

Here is the site I used.

Yes, if your EST (Eastern Standard) that would be -05:00 +1 for DST, so yes 3pm for you until daylight savings is over.

Back to investigating: I'll start pumping Thurgo and Reldo becaus eI have acces to them and I cant acces lary. I had planed to stop by Thurgos anyway and Reldo is easy access beign near a tele.

During the Shilo Village Quest I think they guy at the door to the city tells you about some zombie queen, or something like that taking over the city. I'm not sure, I started the quest a long time ago, then I died and went fishing.

Reldo dosen't say anything useful, at least not on free servers. I would like to know why theres a wizard dressed in gray with a huge hat, maby one of our member investigators would like to talk to him. I suspect he has something to do with the new quest which also looks like it could be relevent.

That horseshoe symbol on the stone in the circle...it looks simaler to the horseshoe symbol on banners in the varrock palace.

I'm on my way to speak with Thurgo now. Hes also says nothing useful. I suspect they might say something useful during the quest, so I'll send my secondary to do the knights sword quest.

As far as what you said KC I would recommend adding Arrav. Doesn't it seem a little weird that the WOM says he might meet him some day even though Arrav existed around 2000 years ago?

Another thing in the big picture (In my opinion) why did he rob the bank? Isn't he a devout follower of Saradom?

Also the new quest came out, and all of our members should be able to do it.

What has become of the runescape community???? :wall:

I would if I could, but I have no runecrafting skills, though I might as well get on with it... though I got the rest of the requirements.

Larry the zookeeper is obsessed about the penguins taking over the world (or trying to) and has extensive experience in magics... he can teleother and tele himself at the same time... but I only think his connection is with the teaching of the shrinking spell from WOM.

Is Arrav even a player? What happens when you add NPCs to your friends list? Anything?

OK, we have:

WOM at the top

High Priest of Entrana

Kolodion

Abbot Langley

Father Uhrney

Oracle

Father Lawrence

Father Aereck

Chieftan of Tai Bwo Wannai

Arrav

Reldo

Thurgo

Residents of Shilo Village

Larry the Zookeeper

I don't know what to make of this...but...

I talked to the Varrock museum curator today, and he said something...well, that grabbed my attention. Normally when you talk to him and ask him if he has any news, he'll say something like "I'm concerned with the past, no the present" or something. But today when I asked him, he said that the museum was getting a large cash infusion to expand. Doesn't that seem a little bit suspicious? As in, WOM donating money to the museum? He's very rich after the robbery, and the first rule of stealing money is to get rid of it as fast as you can afterwards by buying things with it. He spent a lot on decorating his house, but probably didn't spend all the money, so he donated more of it to the museum. He's obsessed with antiquity, after all. It seems like a very likely thing for him to do. Should we add the Curator to the list?

@ Above: What is that a picture of?

Certainly, the new quest might have some new information. Hopefully WOM-related. Anyone?

I'm going to get to work on making some kind of chart, too.

No, I mean what was WOM doing there?

Apparently there was a bug where players got stuck in the water when getting across there, which was cool because the wise old man kept on rearranging the bread sticks. What was odd a few minutes before i spoke to him it said "Sorry, the Wise Old Man doesn't speak German" very odd. I think Jagex is hacking us. Please quit pl0x

Anyway...there was that time that he was in the lumberyard helping people who got stuck...but the not speaking German thing is a little weird. You weren't on a German server, were you?

No, I was on World 99, I took off all of my armor and stuff and put it back on and then the Wise Old Man would talk to me.

MOD ASH HAS ARRIVED ONCE AGAIN TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM!!

MODASH_.jpg

It appears a glitch made it possible for players to perform a few things and then would be able to run into water and to the island. Mod Ash isn't really doing anything, though, there is a barrier which is currently preventing people from doing the run. Very exciting. This will go into my book of memories

Yay 100th Post!

Anyway, isn't anyone suprised that I SAW WOMS SPY?! Why didn't I take a screenshot?

Ah well, probably a joke anyways :P .

But that thing in Catherby was crazy. The WOM was enchanting it or something =\ I'm not sure.

I don't know what to think of Woms Spy, but it's probably someone's pure account. :P What a jerk, getting our hopes up.

But anyway, that thing in Catherby seems peculiar to me. I know next to nothing about members' worlds, but why was there a glitch there? Has that little part of Catherby always been there, or is it a new addition? Weird, it is.

Aside from all this, I finished the org chart. It's a pyramid!!!!!111!

P.S. I think it's funny that WOM's slightest movements create so much activity here!

 Well, I think if you recall I made an account called 'The Woms Spy.' However, as for 'Woms Spy-' someone is probably copying me to mess around.

I really don't know what to make of it. However, it could be a warning to everyone here. We have probably gotten very close to solving the mystery of the WOM, and our accounts are probably in great danger. We shall press on even harder, then.

Nice chart. And I'll check out the curator later. Interesting chap. All of him.

I wonder what reaction this thread will get when the account 'Wise Old Man' finally logs on. I'll add him. :P

Anyway, I had a quick look around Melzar's Maze. I may have something interesting to report.

EDIT: Apart from a shield that has marking similar to that of the Famine rock, nothing.

Oh, and Trobi wanted me to post this- the Ardougne Church has those sword picture windows.

1st theory: Geographic Coordinates (KCHughes)

Using one of WOM's books, calculated the position of WOM's telescope, the Draynor bank, and the Wizard's tower, making an imaginary line that intersect with the Bandit Camp, along with a line perpendicular to it that intersects with the Digsite, Port Phasmatys, and the Wizard Guild.

Analysis: WOM is an agent of Zaros gaining magical power, because of the line through the Bandit Camp and the correlation with the Wizard's Tower and Guild.

Status: Dead-ended.

isnt zaros related to ancients somehow?

maybe wom has plans to become an ancient?

Ok, the results of my questing. The only interesting thing about Thurgo is...his shape. REally, the guy reminds me ofa walking pile of mashed potatos. But he is an imcando dwarf so he is a master smith, and the WOM may want him to make something.

Have we ever done a proper search of draynor manor? There are alot of those wall charms containing the symbol we belive to represent famine. (the swirl)

And in other news that may not be relevent...the witch in draynor mano is the sister of the witch in the dark kights fortress where you do the quest. I found this out by re-doing the quest.
