Oh I'm killing myself! This is hilairious, especially seeing KC use 'teh.' Hm, I don't think the filter is that smart though (test: 'the'). Anyway, just noticed Trobigod's post, so I'll add more of value later.

Forever interested in the topic of Necromancers, I am obligated to point out that they do not use 'dark' magic, it's different, but its not killing, its reviving. If you don't belive me the diablo II manual supports my opinion.

Juat read the real BTS (although i liked the other one better :XD: ), and at the very end it's stated that reldo has found the very last sections to the arrav legends in lores and histories of runescape, when this is released maybe a final decision on anything that can connect the two can be made

Yep I agree, and if someone doesn't know already, the arrav story + the other stories can be found through RuneScape main page -> Stories and Letters -> Lores and Histories.

Hmm I guess I could read them when i have free time, I think I've read them 3 times, but once more can't hurt now can it?

Let me clear this up- necromancy is a magic used to communicate with or revive the dead (as Randox points out). Most necromancers use the ability in order to speak with the dead, normally so justice can be done for a murder etc. Most necromancers therefore use it in the desire to do good- however, there are many misconceptions, and it has become the stereotype that necromancy is only performed by dark wizards. This is untrue, as dark wizards would only use necromancy to revive the dead for battle. Sadly, the theory that necromancy is only performed by evil-doers stuck, and they are shunned from the community. Most are in exile from their own lands.

They also said they would be adding additional history. It seems likely that they would give more tales of Zaros and the Mahjarrat, so we should watch out for them too. Maybe Jagex are trying to help us?

By the way KC, I wouldn't be scared of that little Guy reference. You should only really be scared when you hear pocke[bleep]ch chimes. :mrgreen:

By the way here is the quote for any one who doesn't want to look it up.

Of course, our website has a few updates coming, too. Aside from the usual Postbag favourites, QuestHelp and the Knowledge Base all getting new content, the Lores and Histories will also get a look in towards the end of the month. We'll be bringing in our finest designers to make it look fabulous, and pestering Reldo to find the last few parts of the Legend of Arrav. From there, we'll be adding new stories regularly, and hopefully bring back Tales from the Tavern as well!

Looks like we have a wealth of information headed our way.

Also by the way, it looks like maybe we were wrong about some of our theories about the drilling. But, there still exists a chance that maybe the WOM will try and take the machine...

Anyways... Who needs necromancy in a land where deads just re-born in Lumbridge?

I ever have wondered why Jagex destroyed the Alchelmy? I mean, is pathetic to see how such mysterious and awesome thing is poorly tralated as click, select yew long bow, make money, repeat..

Maybe these marks are just the starting of the trully new alchemy? Something more than making gold out of whatever you cna pick up?

The goals of the alchelmy are simple, first of all, It search the trasmutation. But it is not only to change an element to other.

First of all, an element is a sustance that we can mix with other elements to make a compound but we cannot discompund the elements thus making impossible to compounding elements.

Having this on mind the acient alchemist believed that the basic elements were FIRE, WATER, AIR and EARTH, everything is made by these elements (as today we know everything is made of atoms) and other alchemists as Parecelsus, added other elements as the salt. So, with the correct mix of these elements we can make gold.

However, thanks to the moder science (the child of the alchelmy) we know that the water is a compund of the elements Hydrogen and Oxigen, same thing happens with all the other acients elements and we know that the gold is an elelemnt that cannot be compund.

So, how we can mix things to make gold if that cannot be made?

The transmutation is the answer, magically change the element's properties to anotehr and by that transforming it into a new element, like the gold.

This was one of the alchemist's goals, so we can transform low level metals like iron into high level metals of purity like the gold.

By this principle we not only could change metals, but our souls too to burn all the Karma we have and transform it into Dharma and making a new society.

So this might be more than just the "high alching spell" that requires lvl 55 magic. This might be some of this, on the searching of the eternal life and somewhat more powerfull powers.

I know necromancy isn't all bad, but if I remember correctly the necromancer by Ardougne drops red robes of Zamorak when you kill him. Something is still very fishy about that.

It's about time the histories page got updated. I've been waiting forever. Uncovering more clues about the God War (which hopefully gets included into the histories updates) will help us out a lot.

I still think it's incredibly eerie that Guy was mentioned...I don't know. If we start seeing NPCs named Sergio, or Monco, Mortimer, Sentenza, Tuco, Blondie, Indio, or two gangs called the Rojos and Baxters, we'll know that Jagex is stalking us.

A Dorgeshuun is under the bed I believe. And the players there didn't actually exist, they're NPCs made to look and sound like real players.

Then he might be an evil necromancer, like Maliginus Mortifier. Perhaps he is trying to raise an army of dead minions for Zamorak? The undead can be pretty powerful- Ankou's, for example. Then there are vampires of course, who can pack a hard punch. It is interesting that he is stationed near Ardougne, as Larry the Zookeeper is the keeper of Ardougne Zoo, and he has met the Wise Old Man. Could Larry be more important than we thought?

It's about time the histories page got updated. I've been waiting forever. Uncovering more clues about the God War (which hopefully gets included into the histories updates) will help us out a lot.

I'm more interested in the actual gods themselves (When the gods walked the earth), as Trobigod points out neither Zaros or Armadyl were in the actual God Wars. So, if they update the Second Age section, the first thing I'm sure they'll mention is the conflict between the Mahjarrat leading up to the defeat of Zaros and the start of the God Wars.

I also have the feeling that there will be a new quest that involves bounty killing (hunting down NPCs of course). Also KC, do you think the WOM looks sort of like the prophet in For a Few Dollars More? He also looks a bit like the undertaker in A Fistful of Dollars. It's quite odd either way, and if those names are revealed (add Angel Eyes and Mortimer to that list as well) then something very strange is indeed going on. Out of interest, do any Jagex Moderators like Spaghetti Westerns (specifically Sergio Leone types)?

Mortimer? Isn't Malignius Mortifer the Necromancer?

Anyways, some random information:

Mortifer= Mors+Ferre

Mors=Death

Ferre=Holder

Mortifer= Holder of the death (apropiate name for a necromance)

Malignious= (Evil)

All this is Latin.

Another proof that this is just a rip off of a very trully holder..

Lux=Light

Ferre=holder

Lux+ferre=Light holder.

Lux+ferre= Lucifer...

Is the new Tower of Life very close to the Necromancer's tower? I sort of remember thinking so...anyway, the wizards in the Tower of Life may be the good necromancers, and the other is an evil necromancer. He summons undead things after all, which is characteristic of Zamorak's followers, like Malignus Mortifier. However, that makes me wonder if Grayzag is evil, because all he summons are imps. Curious.

And I'll take a quick survey of the J-Mods today and find out what they think. :wink:

My personal view is that all necromancy is evil, end of story, let the dead stay dead.

Anyway, yeah, the tower of life isn't a five minute walk from the necromancers tower. Also, the wizards in the tower of life aren't necromancers, they are alchemists, they don't bring back the old, they try to create new. Imps are still evil, as they were used in the god was by Zamorack to a great extent.

Well imps are demonic creatures, so I think that would make him evil. Of course, if he can summon imps, that might mean he could easily learn to summon a Lesser Demon, and then possibly move on to Greater Demons and Black Demons.

Anyway, I'm almost sure we'll see an NPC called Sentenza. I mean, it's not really a name you recognize right away (well, KC would, but I doubt the rest of us will :P ) and it's a good name for a character. What would be even more disturbing though would be to find a guy called Sentenza in the WOM's house.

My personal view is that all necromancy is evil, end of story, let the dead stay dead.

Good necromancy doesn't involve the dead being fully brought back to life. They simply awaken the mind of the deceased and speak with it from there using pyschic ability. Then when they have all their information gathered, they let them rest.

Also, if you had a son, and he was brutally murdered, you would try to find the killer would you not? And if there was a necromancer nearby, surely you would use him?

Ah, I forgot the imps were part of Zamorak's army, slashing at the shins of the enemies. Oops, I guess Grayzag is a Zamorakian after all. :oops:

I also forgot that the Tower of Life wizards aren't necromancers. They create life from nothing, while necromancers revive the dead. But that doesn't neccessarily mean that necromancy is completely evil, as Wenlok pointed out.

I think Sentenza is under WOM's bed. He's a monster after all. :mrgreen:

Maybe the WoM stuffed his mom under the bed because he didn't want her to nag at him about how he should not steal and blah blah blah.

And he's going to use the toy horsey that you find in his bookcase as a gettaway vehicle.

Maybe he bugged all the Quest Cape's he gives out to control powerful and worthy adventurers who will slowly help him take control of all the other NPC's who handout skill capes. Then with the army of powerful adventurers (and those rich fools who bough their way to 99 cooking) will take over RS!!!!

Oh noes.

^Hey, yeah, he gives out capes of achievement for those who have completed all the quests.

Wait, don't all the other NPCs who do that actually wear the capes they give out? I've seen them around F2P world, like the head of the crafting guild, brother Jerred, and the Lumbridge melee tutor. WOM doesn't wear his! Why is that, I wonder?
