High level Kalphite Queen

My friend and I are going to be going to Kalphite Queen for some luls, but I wasn't sure what I should be wearing. My stats are in my sig and I'll add that I have all chaotic weapons.

 

I'm wondering if I should just use veracs (since I'm off task), or if I should be going for a chaotic maul/rapier/longsword. I also have access to most pro gear save nex items (torva/pernix/virtus).

Also came to my mind that I'm not sure on my friend's set up. She's 100 combat with 74 attack, 77 hp, 77 str,, 75 def, 75 mage and 73 range. She also doesn't have loads to spend and has never been to KQ before. I'm pretty sure the tip it guide is good for her level, but she was wondering if there was any other advice or more up to date item that would be needed. This is also her special assignment from Sumona.

I'm not sure on the defence level of the first stage of the KQ but depending on what it is you should use rapier + defender or maul, with void. Then swich to deflector + acp and ccbow and range the second form, rune or diamond bolts.

If he's using Void on the second form why not use void on the first as well?

 

Bandos plate and deflector or full elite void with a maul and swap to acp/deflector for second form. I'd probably go full elite void for the first form because you still get the melee bonuses for claw special+ added accuracy from the defender.

I think it is easily possble to just use maul+Void throughout, as the melee pray is not 100% miss, it is just a ton of defense added. Try hybrid and pure melee, see what gives faster kills, I think as th huge amont of accuracy you have from maul, it may be better.

(Off topic, but who remembers when your KQ gear was dmace and veracs? good times...)

i've been considering killing KQ recently and was also wondering how chaotics faired vs veracs. Snce the only defendable attack is melee it may be wise to just go fully offensive and forget about trying to tank 1/3rd of the hits.

I have soloed KQ before with just a cls and it worked well enough, but I just wanted to know of any bettter ways, which I've found. Thanks. :)

Read carefully, I said 'with void' ;).

The prayer adds so much defence that I think it's worth ranging. When I used a maul at 90ish attack it seemed to me I was hitting barely more total damage than Verac's at the same level.

ive done a few kq runs with my friend and on the second form maul is pretty much equal to veracs, and thats with me 99 att, ovl/turm. although even with the increased defense, when we duoed, she would be downed in a couple of hits

Mhmm, it may be good but chaotic c bow + diamond (e) could be better.

 

But more or less my question has been answered unless anyone has any additions/tips for low levels onto what the tip it guide already has. If not that's all I need.

In regards to your friend completing Sumona's challenge, I remember doing this a while back as well with higher level friends. For some reason, I never got credit until it was solo'd entirely by myself (I was under the impression that if I did majority damage as well as the dealt the finishing blow, it'd be enough but this was apparently completely wrong). I even told a buddy to not do anything at all and just sit there with auto-retaliate off, tanking any attacks thrown at him. Challenge didn't complete o.O It may be somewhat tough for your friend to solo in one inventory, but remember she can take more than one trip to finish.
