January 17, 200620 yr I had to check this out, since they seem to be pretty big amongst everyone else. Its pretty damn good, the songs are all really fast (power metal-ish I guess) now I don't think they will crack my top 3 (cKy, trivium, a7x) but they are making a strong case to be in my top 10, I'm going to let it grow on me for a few more days....I guess what I mean is, thanks for exposing me to this! January 17, 200620 yr yeah my roommate likes them and i have to say some of their stuff is pretty good. i dont like really heavy metal that much, metallica is about as far as i go there, but i do like avenged sevenfold and some heavier stuff.

January 17, 200620 yr Haha. One phrase helps me hate C.O.B. so much. They have the proclaimed, "Best Keyboardist" in metal... Something is wrong when your band is known for the keyboards.... Something very wrong... Saw them in concert as well, they were meeeeh not great. So C.O.B. es Basura. Amon Amarth is much better, can't believe they toured together. At least if I remember right... yeah pretty sure... nevertheless, rambling... 10...9... 1... End feed.
January 17, 200620 yr Absolute kings of power metal is "3InchesOfBlood" listen to them. Saw them back in May, supporting Still Remains and Trivium. Although their style isn't usually my thing, they're actually not bad. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

January 18, 200620 yr I'm listening to their new album right now, 3 tracks in and so far i'm not impressed. I really don't like the tone of the guitar, and the keyboards sound un-necessary in some places. That's the problem with bands having a permanent keyboard player, they pretty much have to write parts just so the guy on keyboards has something to do. I don't mind keyboards as long as they enhance the song in some way, but on this album it seems like the keyboard parts are there just for the sake of giving the guy something to do. Maybe i'll check out some earlier stuff. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

January 19, 200620 yr There's some great guitarwork on Follow the Reaper and it's great music to blow off some steam. They also make one hell of a show when they're playing live.
