JPMC Mate
Use Offensive Melee gear like Bandos/V Skirt+Prosy, SW Cape, D Defender, etc. Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.
homer205
In order to melee the 360s you have to stand a step away from them and as the ball of light is on their tail, click to attack, then click back to your original spot right after one attack. It's known as kiting and it will allow you to melee them without them being able to melee you back (assuming you time it correctly). Can either try to distract the healers/kill them or use rapier/ovl/turm/claw specs to out hit what they can heal. If meleeing jad, default on melee payer then switch as you hear the noise (mage) or go on his back legs and stomp (range), then back to melee prayer after the attack. Fallstar
Having tried jad twice Yesterday, a word of warnimg; there was a hidden update recently that removed most of the sound from his magic attack. At the start of the fight, pray mage and if you hear a bom pray range. I have decided to leave the fire cape until my combat skills are a little stronger anyways Asmodean <
homer205
If you hear the sound of the range attack, I'm fairly sure it's too late.
Fallstar
No, its too late when the boulder begins to fall. You have about a second after the boom noise. Asmodean <

Quyneax
damn this is sounding harder and harder. especially if that update is trueDon't worry too much about it, at your levels Jad is a joke. Melee in Bandos + sw cape, max melee offence otherwise (defender etc.). Overloads (12 doses) + eee, 6 brews, 6 restores, vengeance runes, rest pray pots, and bring claws if you like. You won't use close to all of this but it can't hurt to bring some extra. Basically, melee everything but the 360s straight up, so no protect prayer, no sidestepping, just killing (22s and 90s first). The 360s are very easy to kite because they give a warning leading up to their magic attack, unlike metal dragons for example. So the rythm is very easy to pick up. On the last wave of 360s, repot overload, brew over max, restore, kill the last 360. Make sure you have 100% special. At Jad, pray mage, pot up, have sounds on and wait. Once you get hit, just run to get Jad in sight, but don't attack yet. If you don't get hit he's lured safely which is nice as well. Either way, stand a few paces away from Jad with claws equipped, specials activated, overloaded, turmoil activated and prayer switching. Use deflect curses + vengeance (heal up after getting hit) to damage Jad. Once you see he's at half health (the healers come) charge in with claw specials and pray deflect melee. Cast vengeance as well. The last 50% of Jad's health is only ~1200 lp anyway, two claw specs cover that easily, but just in case be ready to switch to rapier after. highlanders
It's easier with ranged. It's longer but you don't have to concentrate as much and there's no kiting to mess up. You could just get your cape with ranged, and try out melee later when it doesn't matter. 2480+ total

Sly_Wizard
You don't need extremes, overloads or any OP melee gear. I did the whole thing using sharks, prayer pots, 2 range pots and a crystal bow.

Powerfrog
I just got my second firecape ever, with melee (piety and extremes) :) So happy. Just wear high defense gear and only worry about protecting from the 360s. (Lure 180s behind the 360 if convenient, but with soulsplit flicks you really won't need to) For jad you want to attack him with rapier until the healers appear, then unload your claw specials hopefully for the KO. If he doesn't go down, switch back to rapier and finish him off. Try to switch between prayers when possible, but if you don't feel confident just stick to protect from melee and eat when neccessary. Ranged is easier. A lot easier. But you could probably get to jad twice with melee before you make it to him with range, so if you feel like you have only slightly better chances with range, you might as well get twice as many attempts with melee. Crossed_Body
I used Bandos and ddef, kited the 360's, tanked him without taking a hit, killed him with rapier, ovl and turm, no spec. Took me about 40min.Didn't even kill the minions.
