who likes green day

Politically wise I don't always agree with them, although they can make a valid point. Musically they're amazing. When September Ends, Good Riddance (time of your life), and Boulevard of Broken Dreams are all great songs whether you agree with them or not.

I could respect what they did a long time ago, even though I've never actually liked their music or punk music in general. With this 'new millenium, we want cash' phase they have gone 100% mainstream and turned in to manufactured pop music. I can't see how anyone can respect that.

Absolutely agreed, enjoyed their old stuff (would not consider myself a fan), but now its just too commercial.

Indeed.

American Idiot was a decent album from them. The other newer ones weren't so much. But still though, to attract so much hate just because of the fact that they're getting rich off what they love doing is unbelievable.

Who gives a [cabbage] if they're commercial? I listen to music for the tunes, the lyrics, I can't give two [cabbage]s what's going on with the band.

No, I do not 'love' Green Day (though I'll admit Billie Joe has some skills.) but it's just ridiculous how you people jump on the hate bandwagon.

OMG LOLS. They're makin money. Noeeesssss!!!111 Too many people know them now, not cool, not cool

Pmg, little girls like them? Snap, not cooool anymore LOL.

Haterade, from the makers of the Gatorade.

People who sound like that are just as bad as wiggers who listen to rap for the novelty of being cool, you dumbarse trolls.

Who are you talking to?! I mean honestly... All you do is troll the forums and tell people when they are in the 'wrong'. You act like a massive tool to anyone that disagrees with you.

Please direct your comments to a specific person, and not 'you people'. I hate them because of what they stand for, how much they suck, and how they conformed to the horrible trends.

You're just as bad by being 'anti-hate-trendy'. Hey look, I labeled you. Familiar?

They had newer ones after American Idiot?

Not really sure <.< , only thing I've from them is that they almost split up due to sales and they're making a similar production to Pink Floyd's The Wall.

Wooooooo... I'm not the one going around threads saying "They suck" without putting a reason.

I don't act like a massive tool, you do. Since day one, your arrogant [wagon] pissed me off. I wasn't bothered with that but when you trolled up the Eddie Guerrero R.I.P. thread, it was more than enough to put you in the arsehole list.

At least I have reasons when I hate someone, unlike you who hates a band for making money while doing what they like to do.

And I hope you learn double negatives in your elementary school soon.

Sheesh... I'm not any more arrogant than anyone on this forum. You are just a biased [puncture].

I agree. Greenday produced an album called "Warning" a while ago. Few acoustic songs, not a bad band if your a fan of softer punk. Then it all went haywire. Pre-teen girls screaming their names, spawning a new army of posing kids who apparently thought wearing a Greenday shirt and listening to Simple plan made them punk. Greenday represent everything punk is against and ever should be. Thats my two cents anyways...

i can't respect any band that *complains* about the government
well you have to admit, George W Bush is an idiot.

Umm.

Give me five reasons why Bush is a moron.

I will be sure to send one each back just as quickly in your direction.

Just prepare yourself.

I cannot stand people like you.

Same here.

To tell the truth, true punk rock is preaty much dead. What's left of it is incredibly underground, like it should be. Heck, only band I see as true, good, punk rock that are sold in places like best buy would be Bad Religion, just because their lyrics move beyond the same crap most of these newer "punk" bands sing about.

Everyone who sais he likes greenday is just doing so because everyone sais it. Greenday is appearantly the hype of the moment. There's no reason to like greenday more than other groups.

Their songs are not bad, but certainly not better than many other groups, and I stick with groups that I personally like a lot (Pink Floyd, Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Within Temptation, At The Villa People (no not Village People), and much much more but I'm not gonna turn this into a list of music groups), instead of just liking the one that everyone claims to like at this particular moment.

even though this made no sense at all...

i went to their concert and dont support their political views but i like their older music and the $ was worthwhile.

so your trying to say taht the 50k+ ppl at the concert i attended each paying $55 each ticket were "claiming what every1 else likes"?

oh yea not to mention they had another concert here 1 week later and sold out again. so shut the hell up b4 u blabbin about your no name [cabbage]ty bands (at the..., and within temptation)

.

green day is fueled by superier marketing.

a 3 chord band witha catchy beat
