Z_Berenice
I got hunt rocks for the first 20 weeks doing charm sprites since they have the highest chance per single catch, but now I'm doing herblore habitat for them as I need the hunt xp, currently working on 25th week. I'm pretty sure falconry got the 2nd highest chance per single catch, only after charm sprites so you could try that too.

Z_Berenice
every time ou get a set of rocks the next set is 50% harder to get all the way to the last oneWhat do you mean by set? like pairs? If so, I think you're mixing things up. Everytime you get the first strange rock of any skill, the chance to get the second rock of that skill will be reduced by half, each type of rock got its own chance depending on what you do. If it was stackable between skills that would mean chances could reach ridiculously low percentages, which is not the case. I've done the hard ones last and I haven't notice any change on spawn rate compared to when I did them first.

Within each rock pair getting the first rock reduces odds of the 2nd rock by 50%However getting a rock in any other skill resets the odds on the first skill. And Getting the 2nd rock also resets that skill for the next week. Eg Lets say hunt, fish and herb are 1/100 odds. You get a hunter rock for the week at 1/100, the odds for hunter rocks is now 1/200You go fish and get that rock at 1/100 odds, the odds for fish rock is now 1/200; but hunter is set back to 1/100You go for second hunter rock at 1/100 chance, fish is reset to 1/100; you go get that You are doing herb, you find first rock at 1/100 chance; odds are now 1/200You keep doing herby and get second rock at 1/200 chance; odds are reset to 1/100 for next week. Quyneax
^Never seen that post or a link to it, idk if alternating helps at all, but it's a common rumour. Don't forget that hunting salamanders doesn't yield strange rocks. Aten
I've also heard that alternating methods resets the odds, but I don't know about alternating skills. I haven't personally tried alternating skills, though I can say from experience that even switching between barb adv, gnome adv, ape atoll, wildy, gnome basic, barb basic it takes me about 60k xp to get both agility rocks each week. Z_Berenice
I usually do agility second (after hunt which I do first most of the time) and I always get both rocks within 20 laps, maybe 1 or 2 exceptions where it took me 50k xp, but that was using penance horn. I know xp rate per skill also affect rocks spawns, so maybe the horn helps. Fishing rocks were updated I think, they would take 1-2 monkfish inventories but now it can take hours using that method, so crayfish gives the faster fishing rocks now lol. every time ou get a set of rocks the next set is 50% harder to get all the way to the last oneWhat do you mean by set? like pairs? Quyneax
Crayfish are awful if you want fishing xp, barbarian fishing is far better in that regard. Sinkhan
Switching activities or even methods making rocks come sooner could just be the mixing up of the task breaking the tedium, making your next attempt seem to come faster. If people want xp, you can now get fishing rocks from cavefish and rocktail also.
