That is basically the opposite of a tl;dr.

tl;dr some new things were added and some old things were changed.

There were heaps of bots and everything crashed because there were so many bots. Then JaGex stopped 98% of them from working and here we are. I think a few of the guys from RSbuddy one of the largest botting websites now work for JaGex.

Because the bots are gone the prices are funny, take a look at chins, they've skyrocketed.

 

Dominion tower is basically a mini game like thing where you fight bosses you've encounted previously in quests, like nomad, in different modes.

You can get gloves which are apparently pretty good if you don't use a weapon and are the best one handed crush weapon out there? Although I think they only last for an hour or something. I'm not too sure about the gloves, maybe someone else could say something more about them. You can also get xp books and a few other things.

 

Not sure why whip crashed, might be because there are so many in game and most people use chaotics. Although there was an update for the whip in which you can attach a vine to the whip to make it slightly better although the vine costs considerably more than the whip.

1) Jagex has finally come out with the update which they planned to release alongside FT/W returning, in short, it breaks bots and doesn't afraid of anything.

2) Dominion tower is a new place where you can re-visit/fight old quest bosses, you can read more about it here.

3) Whips were driven down so cheap in around August, due to bots getting them as drops, better weapons coming out and also they are no longer lost on death in the wilderness.

but the killer picks them up INSTEAD OF them going to the void, which was the case during limited trade.

Biggest thing really is Jagex going "Hai here's that money we've been milking out of you. We re-coded RS to break bots trololololololol." Which is pretty great; if it keeps up. Prices of botted items are somewhat on the rise now. But on a side note, whips are dropping as more people are getting chaotics.

 

Domination tower you just really need to check out for yourself. It can be quite fun.

The Abyssal Whip's main fault is the fact that it fell sharply in demand, and rose slightly in supply - as what was previously known as 'iDungeon Pro' has allowed people to acquire the Chaotic Rapier, it was deemed obsolete, and thus the use had quickly diminished. Also, the abyssal whip rarely left the game as PvP had no longer allowed so - a significant majority simply gets redistributed with no net loss.

 

You can expect a slightly more social atmosphere, as there are fewer 'ghost' characters if you will. Bots will continue to exist until the day the incentive to bot is gone.
