November 10, 201114 yr I decided to try my hand at dicing, got a bit too sucked in and lost my bank doing it. I don't really have a great deal of time to play at the moment but what would be the best way for someone with my stats (see sig) to make some cash, i don't mind doing some quests to unlock anything thats needed, and i still have around... 5m left so thats what you have to play with >.<. http://services.runescape.com/m=adventurers-log/display_player_profile.ws?searchName=katastrophi^ my adventurers log if anyone is interested in the quests i've finished. November 10, 201114 yr Obviously your concentrating on melee/slayer.Either continue with that or...As suggested above, herb runs.Cutting Yew Logs is okay. If you combine cutting Yews inbetween Herb runs, its an okay start.Cutting yews earnt me enough to by santa... back in the day... when it was 20m... now its almost 200m! :D
November 10, 201114 yr Cutting yew logs is not okay.Support. If you want some xp at the same time, I'd suggest mining coal at LRC until 80 then switching to gold. Other than that, just do herb runs and maybe slay some things. Also, killing dragons in the chaos tunnel is also empty so maybe give that a shot. Goals for 2012:Quest CapeMAX
November 10, 201114 yr lol@cutting Yews Quest cape since 11th July 99 Farming 4th February 99 Cooking 31st August
November 10, 201114 yr Obviously your concentrating on melee/slayer.Either continue with that or...ANDAs suggested above, herb runs. Fixed. If you don't want to do slayer (as it is not a good money maker, but profitable training of several skills at the same time), slay green/blue dragons, hunt red chins (both options are viable again since bots are gone). Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
November 10, 201114 yr Red chins were never "viable" compared to other methods of making money. The max catch rate per hour isn't over 600 so at best (red chins being 1 k each) it was around 4-500 k per hour. Green dragons at 80's in melee are better than that. Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
November 10, 201114 yr Take the time to train hunter and get juju farming potions, then start regular herb runs. Invest in MTK. Start DGing and obtain some chaotics for slaying more efficiently.
November 10, 201114 yr Cutting yew logs is not okay.Support.Yeah, they're about 95k gp/hr at maxed woodcutting. They could be triple the price they are now, and they'd still be a crappy moneymaker, lol. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
November 11, 201114 yr First and foremost get Barrows Gloves. Seconding this. Do Recipe for Disaster and whatever associated quests you need to complete it. Barrow gloves are really, really good. If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.^^^At least I'm not the only crazy one
November 11, 201114 yr Red Chin's can be decent money at the moment depending on your hunter level; but you can't hunt them.. As most other people said, do herb runs (but ignore the Slayer, it's only really profitable when you can do Ice Strykewyrm's). I'd say, go with one of the resource skills (Mining/Fishing/WC'ing) or go to Blue/Green dragons.
November 11, 201114 yr Define decent... I already outlined how they have to hit 1 k each and you need to be 98 hunter to make half as much per hour as green dragons. And mining/fisshing/woodcutting are all god awful ways of making money. Slayer, which you say to ignore, is better than all of them. Please refrain from posting blatant misinformation. Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
November 11, 201114 yr Slayer is actually very amazing every time they release a new slayer drop. Whip vines sold for 20 mil+ and hexcrests/focus sights for 10m+ on the first few days of release lol. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
November 11, 201114 yr Yeah, why would you say woodcutting? We just went over how crappy it is. I mean, mahogany logs are better than yews, I guess, but it's not like they're good. And fishing is almost as bad--I mean, you can maybe get 300k gp/hr at with rocktails, but that's the max, and the OP can't even do that for another like 4m xp. So you're saying spend 70+ hours training (while earning no profit) to unlock a moneymaker that's slower profit than running planks? That's...not good advice. At all. Same deal for mining--the only real moneymaker in the skill is runite, which, even if the OP had the level for it, would be slower than killing dragons. November 11, 201114 yr How fast are dragons anyway? Assuming 80s CB, whip, super/exts, piety, in the CTs stealing drops from lower levels? I recall runite mining being 800k/hr+ if you and the markets were good. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

I recall runite mining being 800k/hr+ if you and the markets were good.Well according to this, blue dragons are 800k+, so I'm just assuming green dragons are better than that. I'm ballparking, basically. But whatever--I'm pretty sure it's not worth getting 85 mining for runite when you already have near-maxed melees for killing dragons, right? Blues are 800 k+ without a cannon or BoB at 90's melee. Same stats at greens will get you very similar if not better money, tradeoff being no cannon but lower hp at greens. Also lol at my guide being linked after the people on xpw flamed me for it. November 11, 201114 yr Well TIF caters to a wider range of levels where 800k/h is actually p decent. I myself only have farming as a reliable money maker, but that was basically destroyed by bots/bot nuke so I don't know what I do for money anymore. I suppose I should try these as I can't do any worthwhile bosses and don't have the reqs for Glacors yet. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
November 11, 201114 yr Well TIF caters to a wider range of levels where 800k/h is actually p decent. At the start, perhaps. But the possibilities out there for greater income per hr are overwhelming. If it can be achieved, it should be at least tried once. That's the whole point of educating and helping people :P
November 11, 201114 yr I get crashed at pretty much every single boss. I have yet to unlock glacors. I have done 67 barrows runs without a single drop. Farming is about half as profitable as it used to be. I'm awful at merching/flipping. 800k steady profit is looking pretty good to me right now lol.
