January 20, 200620 yr Earlier this week a friend pmed me that blue party hat is 130m, then the next day it got up to 150m (could have sold for this easily). And today the same friend told me that they are now 180m. Now i checked the rs forums and someone selling for 200m. What is going on? Did that mass ban really make such a big impact to the rare market that those blue paper hats skyrocketed to allmost double within a week? And no this is not a rant about how price is so high and boohoo boohoo etc. i have a blue hat and will never sell it, even though i was tempted at 150m. January 20, 200620 yr I don't know why the rares are being driven up, but I think it has something to do with all the bans. I'm willing to bet that a few hundred of the people who were banned had a party hat. Also, after the ban, a lot of the autoers who haul in a ton of the aconomy's fish/wood/ores are gone, which causes a change in the general RuneScape economy. Probably has something to do with it.

January 20, 200620 yr While a lot of bans happened, and probably a lot of rares are gone with those bans, it's only the mere sentence "15k players banned" that is enough to drive prices up. January 20, 200620 yr I'm not sure... It could also be that some good merchanters decided with eachother to go up. If some of the most powerfull merchanters get it up, the rest wil follow. Thats what a friend told me...

January 21, 200620 yr Its because of the mass ban. Lots of autoers had party hats from their ill gotten wealth. Either that or merchants are using that as an excuse to raise the price and stupid people buy them thinking "z0mg0rz$ n0w 17$ ub3r r4r3!!!!" I went up like 2k attack ranks 3k str ranks and stayed around the same in defense, but moved up about 2k hp ranks. And rofl yeah to whoever knows who ixl kick ixl AKA ihq69 is, he was one of the ppl who got banned xD Oh well he got what he had comin, stupid emo :| maxed out melee back in 06, when it was still considered an accomplishment. same with getting 85 slayer, was in the top 2k players to get it. January 21, 200620 yr First i was sceptic at this, but now the rare market is nearly collapsing, well the phat market... I did want a yellow phat at first.... but now, i think me and other players agree that we should remove disc items for good. it might sound drastic, but in my opinion its the only way, though ive seen a post on rs forums about an NPC selling Phats for 30 mil in Suggestions. i kinda like that idea Interrested in joining the cabbagy madness?
