brad1431
Is it worth me going through all the trouble to get 76 agility for Glacors? I will not be getting a rapier anytime in the next year or so..... and I dont like gear switching, so I am worried that I will go through all the hours and trouble to get to 76 agility and a really long quest to find out that I cant even kill them at a rate that is decent enough to make all that time worth it. But I am getting bored doing the same the actiivites, farming, slayer, and dailies, that is basically all I do anymore....

Gwasha
First off, not having 95 magic is a big deal. However you could overload to it to use fire surge. Possibly even a vecna's skull thing? Not sure on that. Since you dont like gear switching, which is an aweful and lazy excuse, you will likely be just fire surging the glacytes. That's fine, but expensive and slower. Just a couple things to keep in mind.

By that time I am worried all the boots will be crashing and it wont be worth it anymore, plus I have never used mage as a form of attack. I hope that means I dont have to get the void stuff, cause I think that is obtained by playing one of those horrible minigames, which I really hate minigames..... Gwasha
This is my personal setup for a 40 minute trip. I get 50 kills/hr. Obviously this wont work for you, I do a 3 item switch to kill the glacytes, but I just use ahrim's for gear. You will have to swap out the chaotic staff for a staff of light and the celestial surgebox for some magic offensive shield, and the farseer ring (i) can be downgraded or just swap with a ring of wealth. Everytime you post a topic you complain about hating every aspect of the game. Why do you play? Quyneax
No need to take that up here, PM if you want that question answered. If you don't like tds then glacors might be better for you, as there's a lot less switching involved. I still recommend using 1 item switch: polypore staff for glacytes and staff of light with fire surge for the glacor. brad1431
Quyneax, do you think it is worth it for me to get the 76 agility for this, or will it not be worth it for me? I can also work on getting my mage up, but I am not getting any of that void gear, if that is needed, and I wont be able to get it anywhere near 95, maybe 90 doing superheat of gold, but that will take a long time as I mine my own golld ores, and RC my own natures.... ghjkl
what does "worth it" mean?from an efficiency standpoint we need to know your other sources of incomealso you should really get 99 summoning before doing glacors
brad1431
sources of income, probably horrible for the efficiency people, I do farm runs and in between do slayer. today I did some mining of conc gold and nature rune runs. I also do some dailies everyday including Jack of all trades to level dging. But I dont actively look to make money nor do I look to be efficient, to me the most efficient thing wiould be what is easiest to do without paying attention to the computer where I can watch tv WHILE AT MY COMPUTER and gain stats/levels..... Lord Paul
I do farm runs and in between do slayer. an interesting way of looking at it... might as well go for 76 agil since you most likely are not making very good money with farming Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475
brad1431
but will I be able to kill these glacors at a reasonable rate?
Gwasha
Anyone can kill them at a decent rate (...with fire surge, fire wave is just pathetic to use). However, killing them at high speeds and to get the most per hour takes skill, practice, and gear. I've seen kids there with fire elemental titans, wearing prostyle (spelling) gear, and using safespots. Sure they aren't getting 50 kills/hr like I am, but they are still killing at a reasonable pace. (Well or so I imagine, I haven't tried it.) Just go for it, get 76 agility and the quest. Agility is a pretty mindless skill, something you can easily watch TV while doing. However I don't think that watching TV while killing glacors is a good idea. Ambler
Don't you need 77 for the quest? :unsure:Other than that, Glacors do have a brilliant charm rate, so that would probably be worth it, not sure if you could manage with an iron titan for Glacytes though ^^My blog of EoC PvM, lols and Therapy.^^My livestream- Currently: Offline :(Offical Harpy Therapist of the Mad[hide=Lewtations]Barrows drops: Dharok's helm x2, Guthan's helm, Ahrim's top, Hood and skirt, Torag's hammers, Karils skirt, Karil's top, Torag's helm, Verac's skirt, Verac's Flail, Dharok's Platebody.Dag kings drops: Lost count! :wall:4k+ Glacors, 7 Ragefires, 4 Steadfasts, 4 Glaivens, 400+ shards![/hide]
muggiwhplar
Iron titan's fine for glacors. I always killed the unstable immediately after detonating w/o any problems w/ an iron titan. My titan was more reliable than I was-- it would kill the sapping before I could kill the enduring frequently because I'd have unlucky hits sometimes.
