Driving driving driving....

Featured Replies

Ok there's this girl at my school that i want to ask out. Problem is that i'm not old enough to drive yet, so i'm wondering what to do? Should i have my parents drive us , or should i have her meet me there? :? Any suggestions?

You can have a relationship without a car.. my friend buses everywhere lol.

Not very romantic to take a girl on a public bus for a date.....

Meet her there - just like when you go places with your mates. You can both ride a bike there, walk, catch public transport or have your parents take you.

Make sure you're there 10-15 mins before the agreed time, and don't leave until she's left/caught her bus/been picked up by her parents.

I don't think I could hack that. It's awkward enough on your first date with a young lady without your parents in the front making crappy jokes and giving her 20 questions >.<

Amusingly, it was my GF dishing out the Q's when mum took us on our first date

I found it quite amusing, mum found it quite akward :P

Yeah meet her there, or pay for a taxi if its a long way to go to whereever you are meeting. Most likely her parents will take her to the place and park nearby until you arrive to make sure shes safe.

You dont want her to "meet the parents" on a first date.

Pick her up at home and walk. That's more romantic than a car. Depends how far you need to go of course.

What if he needs to go all the way?

Yes but in these matters it's always best to be on the safe side. To show up even 30 seconds after her is very poor form.

Meet there. On my first date, (we were only 15 so I couldn't drive) we just met at the mall, and when it was time to go, she got picked up by her dad (I couldn't bring her to the car though since they don't know she went on a date  ). So yeah, no shame in meeting there :)

Seems to me that the winner is meet her there.
