Archi, population looses faith in you a bit. not enough for a huge rebelion civil war, but enough to make it harder to issue Edicts from now on. And if this happens, i'm going to make it so you have a chance to be reelected as the new leader if it's a civil war and you lose it.

No, if it's a civil war and you have dictator ship, they'll go somewhat democratic, which means someone with your same interest and plans can end up being reelected if you can pull it off. Obviously this will weaken your country, so it's not an all win situation. And if you get conquered by your enemies, then your out of the game.

And depending on the sum it will get done faster but probably in a minimum of ten/twenty years.

Your logic is thus deeply flawed because you are not thinking about this deeply enough.

This is not a personal dig at you, everyone has this flaw because no one has the whole sum of human knowladge strapped into their heads.

 

For example, if I said that, as leader of Britian, I use my influence to promote the football team 'Castle Colts' to the second division of the Kent Championships, then you would either have to look those two things up...or you would have to make an educated guess of the results of that action, if any action was taken, since I could whisper something in someone's ear and no one would be any the wiser of the action.

 

Hence why a Hegemony based on logical reactions to statements is very unstable.

Nah, the gun is designed so that somebody who has never seen one before in their life would probably be able to use it. You can just tell that one part is the handle, and you have a good chance of guessing that that little thing there is the firing mechanism.

Ah, but do you know what happens when you pull the trigger? It goes BOOM. A person who has never held a gun before or seen one before could probably figure out how to fire one, but would probably mortally injure themselves figuring out which end actually does the hurting.

I completely get that fact, actually. I understand where you're coming from with this argument, but I still believe the human deductive ability is sufficient to allow them to comprehend which part does the killing and which part is supposed to be held. Take a sword, for instance. If somebody who has never been introduced to a sword before came across one, he would probably be able to work out which part does the killing. Guns may be slightly more complicated, but the principle is the same.
