Probably following Archi's system with space, yeah. It allows for covert actions, as well as more putting people on the spot. you can't do that with a posting system. For example, you could tell somebody "Explosion imminent, 20 seconds until critical level" and they would have 20 seconds to act and save themselves and anyone around, leading to much more tension, immersion, and a generally more fun experience.

We need two mods to pull anything off really successfully, one British and one American/Canadian (I can't mod because then only Nex and Earth would play :cry: ).

No, the death is because people aren't playing games. There are loads of mods but if you look at most games failings its because of lack of players.

1. Your initial joining during the first Hegemony pissed everyone off, you subsequently acted like a child and were one of the main reasons for the formation of the NWO which lead to the demise of that game.

2. In Sere's Hegemony, which actually showed promise, you acted like a jerk to Ross and when we were pissed off and kicked you out the admins were called, marking the beginning of the admin interference in the tavern.

3. You start garbage games that nobody wants to play and continuously complain about every god damn thing related to the activity level of this subforum.

4. You have quit three or four times and then comes back whenever the Tavern picks up.

5. You continually waste time by making comments which bare no relation to the post you are replying to.

6. You enter games, tell people how they to play and argue, persistantly, with everyone who disagrees...including the mod.

You know it's a good thing when you put effort into a seasonal friendship-chainmail and find yourself still copy+pasting more than thirty minutes later.

Facebook seems to be rather much like Runescape, a lot of fun at first...and people do a lot of stuff...but slowly the reality dawns on you that you spent the last hour grinding on a game...

Other than that, I am not terribly interested in what other people are up to.

Meh, there are plenty of games, and currently it's a better place for comunication than messenger (for some reason), though I wish the chat actually worked properly.

Also on the topic of grinding facebook games, I just became lvl 350 in Mafia Wars. :grin:

And on the subject of not caring what we're doing... I might be part of an SCA youth-fencing class! I've been getting more of my friends interested in SCA stuff, and this will be a great opporunity. One of my friends who can't come to normal practice because of church will be able to go if it's on a different day.

 

Also, this isn't tournament fencing. It's essentially anything-goes-but-below-the-belt-shots fighting with the only real weapons you'd have a hard time maiming anyone with - capped rapiers. Though we do have a few dull sabers and some big swords almost 5 feet long. There's also show fencing, which is dodging, rolling, throwing, and elaborate not-always-practical-but-awesome-looking maneuvres.
