Archi, I like Battlefield Bad Company 2. It's extraordinarily balanced, has good, practical pacing, and a nice diversity of styles.

 

For example, some people are demons with knives, drills, and defibrillators. Some people can hit a target cross-map the size of a pin onscreen. Some people can bring the walls down on you with RPGs. And some people, like me, will have the enemy team finding C4 in places they didn't even know existed. I'm also a fair hand at shotgun marksmanship, I essentially have the effective range of a sniper. And I do great supply and revive support.

I know, but I was born pale (or actually purple since my umbelical cord was wrapped around my throat), but I've worked up a nice tan that never goes away.

I agree but its due to lack of effort since Napoleonic Hegemony, hegemony is a central part of the tavern whether its being played or not and therefore should be included.

 

Its dead now, it was very popular back then. A clever person once said that we need a simple game that everyone can play to break people into the tavern.

Space is basically a Sci-Fi Dugeoneering, I would probably use it but I would rather create a starter thread because its less threatening, allows everyone to start of equal and will be tailored for a less experienced audience. Hopefully with rotating moderatators it could be run 24/7.

I'm not wanting nostaligia, I'm getting ready for the influx of at least twenty people who click the link and may want to join.

What we need is someone capable of modding games who isn't me...So stop posting that we need more threads...more threads solve nothing and are just aggrevating people.

I sorta felt nostalgic about modding dungeoneering a few days ago, but I remembered that around 50% of the dedicated players are in a completely different timezone. It would lead to me either staying up will 2:00 AM when I need to get up at 7:00, cutting off the session without them playing, or only running on weekends. It's a bit of a catch 22.

Icon, Space is a great breaking-in game. Everyone's playing it, and we even have 3 new members because of it.

It would lead to me either staying up will 2:00 AM when I need to get up at 7:00, cutting off the session without them playing, or only running on weekends. It's a bit of a catch 22.

We need two mods to pull anything off really successfully, one British and one American/Canadian (I can't mod because then only Nex and Earth would play :cry: ).

 

As for a hegemony formula the most logical choice would be an excel sheet or a script, because then we could not only use an automatic calculation that only needed to know the start date and current date to start, but one could also keep simple logs of events (generated automatically as .txt with script and in the form of additional modifiers in excel).

And, realistically, this isn't the only forum on the interweb that does roleplay games...If you are really desperate to play/mod more games, then you can...I fail to see why you NEED to make this forum, which is reasonably content, into something else...
