Eratic mouse behavior

Featured Replies

2 days ago I have noticed while playing Runescape my mouse is all over the place behaving rather odd. The lag is still bad now my mouse? Is anyone else experiencing this also? I am getting very frustrated with the game now. Enough is enough.

Here is my computer information:

System: Dell

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz

Memory: 3062MB RAM

BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A03

Page File: 426MB used, 4011MB Available

Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600)

System Model: OptPlex GX 280

DirectX version 9.0c

Java Version: 6 Update 31

Mouse: Logitech Optical HD compliant mouse

I also took my mouse apart which is 2 months old and cleaned it it is optical still no change this is only happening on Runescape.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get a better mouse and upgrade your hardware. That processor is 6 years out of date at best, 9 at worst.

You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.

I would suggest getting maybe a new mouse, or a new/better mousepad.

It could be something in the mousepad, depending if it's fabric or plastic.

Or it could be that your crappy mouse is crappy, or your expensive fancy mouse has broken. I bought a $5 mouse at Wal-Mart, and it worked fine for two years. I then bought a Razor macro mouse, and it broke in a week.

I would suggest doing the cheaper before looking into getting new hardware.

Ever since the last update, my mouse started experiencing some sort of lag when Runescape was up and running.

Rather odd.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Having the same issues here. Looks like the idiots at Jagex no longer know how to avoid making computers unusable with RuneScape loaded. It's a good thing I quit some time ago. :(

Same here. Maybe there's something to it.

99 farm easy

Well in the tech forums they acknowledged the problem and asked for ppl with this problem to submit tech tickets. That's probably your best bet right now.

Anti-bot measure. Think about it.

I very much doubt this.

Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.

I have the same problem. Not content with single figure FPS, now my mouse cursor jitters like a good un. So frustrating.

Bot measure? Nah :P
