A few of the game worlds have gone offline, meaning that players who were previously logged into those worlds will be unable to login for a short period of time. Jagex is working rapidly to get the worlds back up and running and everything should be back to normal soon.

 

Worlds Affected: 36, 56, 71, 82, 96

 

Please do not create additional threads about this as it will only clog up the tech support forum with extra threads about the same issue.

 

For those interested, the reason that your accounts are stuck is because the login servers still think that they are logged into the game because they never received a message from the game world that your account logged out because it went offline. Once the game worlds come back online the login servers will update and allow you to login again.

What happens with rollbacks is the game 'saves' your current state either every 15 minutes or so or when you logout of the game / go to the lobby. Anything that happens between the saves is stored in the memory of the game world until the next save at which point it is 'written' or stored to your character's login information to be loaded the next time you login to the game.

 

Anything that happened since the last 'save' will be lost because the game is loading the profile information saved to the login server and anything that happened since that 'save' was lost when the servers crashed.

 

What this means for you is that there *COULD* be around a 15 minute rollback when you next login.

Problem with logging in, says your acc hasn't logged out.

 

Was in w71 when all of sudden game stopped. My connection works...

Thank goodness, was getting worried about my account.... i'm trying to get back on as well, stupid game kicked me out and keeping my account in game...

Same i was wondering what hte issue was as well.

Yeah i'm talking to chaz about it, if they rollback i'll be fuming.... chaz got a screeny of it anyway, and it'll be on my adventure log as well..

Not much Jagex can do about it, no hardware has 100% uptime, and the RuneScape servers are pretty reliable.

PC world went down 40 mins ago and I haven't been able to log in since <_< I see a few other worlds are down as well. Srsly what's up with the servers today.

I just got online and can't log in,why is that? I thought that only if you were in those worlds while they went down you couldn't log in?! Is this same problem or am I experiencing something else?
