January 28, 200620 yr Now I know this has prob been thought of before, but I would like to voice my opinon Wouldnt it be cool if there was a smithing guild? Where only say level 60 smithers can enter? Now, you may be thinking "What the hell could there be in a smithing guild". Well here are some ideas. 1) There would be a furnace in there (which is operated like a regualr furnace and used for free) that, when using, only takes half the amount of coals to make a bar of steel, mirth, adament or rune(I know theres a furnace like this, but it takes three people to operate and costs 2.5k, this one is free and operates like a reg furnace). Also, one ore of gold and silver would make two bars. 2) A shop that contains smithing materails at half price, and ores and bars at 3/4 the regular (price check) price. For instance, for coal, instead of costing 150 per ore, it would be say 120 or something like that. There would also be a room full of anvils.' 3) The guild would also have a ticket stand. 10,000gp(or something like thAT) to have a 10min pass to the mining guild, to mine coal and such Expand or suggest things to me here :-)
January 29, 200620 yr IT THE BLAST FURNANCE Just go to world 2 or a high populated world and somebody will have others running it. it has everything you have suggested.
January 29, 200620 yr i kinda like the idea....but wuts hte point of paying 10k for a pass to the mining guild? odds are if ur in the "smithing guild" your in the mining guild
January 29, 200620 yr how bout just a furnace and an anvil added on to the mining guild? it wouldnt be much, but it wouldnt be overdoing it like your idea
January 29, 200620 yr any place far away from bank is worthless being called guild. we have close anvils in yanille and varrok. close furnance in port phastmys (have no cleu how to spell it) and al khadir. no store will sell high lvl ores because it's defeating purpose of minning. the only thing in smithing guild whould be worth if there would be bank closer than anywhere else to furnance and anvil 1500+ total 89 cmb; 1600+ total and under 93 cmb. 02/04/07 reached all skills 60+ under lvl 90 cmb. 07/19/07 reached all skills 70+ at lvl 93 cmb.Prayer is good for herbs

January 29, 200620 yr IT THE BLAST FURNANCE Just go to world 2 or a high populated world and somebody will have others running it. it has everything you have suggested. I agree. But as the blast furnace isn't that close to a bank, I think it's probably best for smithing range ammo (and probably quickest for throwing knives). I also agree that between Yanille and Port Phantmys, that's pretty quick for smithing. Not to mention using the latter for gold smelting with goldsmithing gauntlets.
January 29, 200620 yr I say stick a furnace and anvil into the mining guild and be dun with this whole affair. Its clsoe to a bank, its got pretty muhc every ore in walking distances accept rune to the best of my knowledge so its worthy of it Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
January 29, 200620 yr no store will sell high lvl ores because it's defeating purpose of minning. The higher the lvl of the ores, the less the shop has in stock. So for a mining guild there would be 50 coal, 15 mith, 5 addy and 2 rune ores in stock. They would have a low respawn rate so mining would still be more appealing. Woot, woott...teach us uncle kll...
January 29, 200620 yr Id also say put a seperate section to the mining guild. That would then be the Smithing Guild. In there u would have 3 or 4 furnaces (just for the looks, I know u only need 1), 5 or so anvils (again just for the looks), BANK ACCESS, store that sells all smithing equipment, maybe some other nice stuff.

January 30, 200620 yr Blast furnace is really good if you're using the stores to unnote and smith stackable items or alchemy plates. I use runners so that I smelt constantly, and get upto 600 addy bars or more an hour. But yes, the Blast Furnace counts as a smithing guild in my opinion. It'd be cool if people don't have skills to get into other guilds had to pay 1k every minute to use the place.
