80 prayer, is it worth it?

i have about 30mil cash right now just sitting there, and like i mentioned before in a post my new goal will be 99 defence through slayer. would it be worth it to pour the money into getting 80 prayer, or maybe even just 75? (currently 70)

appreciate all responses and suggestions :)

I'd say get levels that would benefit your slaying. And since prayer won't benefit you anymore until 95(Or to a lesser extent, 92), i'd say invest in herblore if you can get 85 with your current cash. Or slayer gear to make slaying faster. Or lastly, just save until you can get turmoil.

Superantifire means you can use a defender on steel dragons. +25 stab attack is absolutely great for metals and black dragons, very worth it. Extreme potions are to supers what supers are to normal potions, e.g. you get another 5-7 attack & strength levels or so, pretty big damage boost.

85 herblore gives you access to super antifires, spec restores and, by way of spicy stew, extreme attack, strength and defence potions.

I didn't even think of that myself (the stew), maybe I'll go for 85 now.

Cheers  .

Prayer is really a big jump skill. You go 1-43. Then 43-70. Then 70-95. Then a few years later when you have more money than sense, you get 99. :P

The reason is, theres really no reason to have any levels in between this. Having level 80 prayer will not do anything other than save you a couple prayer potions.

I'd recommend getting extreme attack/strength potions though. :)

thank you all very much for the suggestions, having read Quyneax' response on how i could potentially use the defender or for that matter any other shield at the dragons without damage was my selling point lol. now the question is what would be the best way to jump from 70-85 in herblore?? i recently spent a good 5mil getting from 60-70 so not sure if im the most efficient when it comes to training the skill lol

You can start here.

Just remember that when you get to the point where you start making untradeable potions, it's better to make only those even though it's pretty expensive compared to tradeable pots. You'd hate to get 99 herblore and run out of overloads.

Working on max and completionist capes.

i dont believe i understand this

are you trying to say to make sure make the untradable pots so that i have a large enough stock pile (so then afterwards i wont need to spend money making them)?
