After a year of absence I return and find out my beloved black dhide has been defiled. I can bear the prossy (bling bling), and even the neit helmet (extreme bling bling), but messing with my black dhide goes too far.

 

It looks like some hobos have covered it in irremovable poo while I was gone :(

 

I hope the next skill will be dry cleaning. Make black dhide black again.

I like it and quite happily run around in it as an outfit.

I dislike most of the graphical updates because I'm a mad traditionalist so I agree with you. But more important than any other is BRING BACK THE OLD INFINITY BOOTS! Oh and Karil's oh and Rune and err I'd like the old penance torso/skirt back as well.. The new DFS is just horrible and I miss my good old Verac's helm!

The only ones I didn't like were armour after steel and the DFS.

And also how exactly does the look of an item affect how good or bad the items is? Last time I checked that doesn't change how the items work, the statuses of the items, etc. In my opinion complaining about how the items look is a minor complaint.

 

Also, so what if some items look like another item? As long as you put your mouse over the item you will be able to tell what that item is.

My complaint is not a true complaint, it is a whimper of nostalgia. I don't walk around RS thinking of black d'hide all the time. Hell, this thread was not meant to be taken seriously (which can be deduced from the wording). However, there is nothing wrong with a little dissatisfaction for cosmetic purposes, not everything has to relate to efficiency and stats. No need to pointlessly attack other players to make yourself look good. I've been playing this game close to 10 years, have hardly ever complained and still enjoy it. So excuse me for showing a bit of lighthearted nostalgia.

You're complaining about someone disliking the graphical update, while yourself a few month ago you complained how steel dragons were strong, baxe should be the best weapon in the game and dragon platelegs were too cheap. Wha?

Me and some people I know have this "Black D'hide Unit" from way before royal d'hide. We wore it for clan events, used it for quest bosses and from time to time some regular bosses. It's just for fun really. The minimal and dark look made it so great.

The only graphical update I don't like is what they did to Dragonfire shield. It looks awful now.

It doesn't look too bad, it's just that the old dfs was so badass.

 

And they completely molested rune armour.
