nuget Posted October 3, 2012 Share Posted October 3, 2012 So, i got myself a frozen key... im not that much into combat but i have decent lvls (to my standards) I want to use my instakill darts on nex, but i have some questions as to how. First of all im wondering, as i read the guide to kill nex.. in the beginning of the battle nex is not attacking but doing some kind of ritual.Does that mean, that if i use my dart on him at that point he will die? or will he not ? Mylez Posted October 3, 2012 Share Posted October 3, 2012 While your stats are relatively decent, I would still try with a team, especially if you're not familiar with Nex. Also, since Nex has several stages I'm unsure when the best time to actually use the Instakill is; it might be that the dart merely kills that stage of Nex, allowing it to progress to the next. And make sure if the room's occupied, you take turns since only one dart can "register" at a time. In other words, if more than one person darts Nex, only one person will get the loot. You get your forty killcount (Aggressiveness of the monsters depends on your defense bonuses. I think they become unaggressive when you have over 100 defence bonus against their style, don't quote me on that though. In bandos and general melee stuff, only mages were aggressive) Killing Nex herself is easy. you enter the room, she will appear and "activate" her four minions, during that time you can't attack her. Then you can use attack her with the dart, usually without getting hit. It kills her completely (and the minons don't attack you, though I didn't go near them just in case). You should definitely grab a set before the weekend. Estoc Posted October 5, 2012 Share Posted October 5, 2012 You get 4 "cards" for being a member through August and September, and one of the rewards from these cards, (arguably the best one) is an instakill dart. Throw it at Nex and it will hit her for 30,000 lp. Works on a lot of other bosses as well, but Nex is probably the best one to use it on.
