December 30, 201213 yr I just thought maybe we should have a good positive thread, rather than the whole Jagex bashing, Runescape is dying, Squeal of Fortune hating nonsense :P So, this thread is just to focus on the positive side of RuneScape :) What do you think was the best update of 2012? For me, it has to be Player Owned Ports and the quality of quests that we have had recently, not to mention all the graphical updates :)

December 30, 201213 yr Not overly enjoyed the quests this year. They've been rather lacklustre in places. Admittedly they are getting a lot better.Ports is obviously a huge highlight of the year.EoC was a complete no-no for me at first, but I've really enjoyed it, after having it forced upon me. Was one of those people who was going to quit in protest, but I actually came around.Made a lot of progress this year, eight 99's and probably >100m xp. December 30, 201213 yr Evolution of Combat, on the basis my skills aren't high enough for PoP access and so I can't factor that into my personal experience of the game in 2012. December 30, 201213 yr Evolution of Combat. I thought I'd hate it, but the abilities make killing random monsters more fun.I kind of hated some of the graphical updates. I always wear my Temple Knight Proselyte armour, but now it looks silly with a cross and stupid little wings. I found out that the old heraldic helms are the same still, though.I can't do POP.I haven't done a single one of the quests they made this year, except for the Prince Ali Rescue replacements and the new Wizard's Tower storyline. I can FINALLY imitate Gandalf. Until he dies. Supporter of Treasure Trails and can't stand non-matching armor.

January 23, 201313 yr EoC was probably the biggest highlight for me. It's hardly finished but like Tansuo, I was apprehensive at first, but it has really sped up my Slaying, and inspired me to stick with it. Combat for me used to feel so slow, with nothing to do but click the monster and wait. Or, park myself in the middle, and occasionally drink a sip of prayer. Ports has also been a fun addition to the game, and I look forward to being able to make some really good gear that I didn't need to spend weeks grinding PvM or merching to get. ... one can dream, right? ... February 11, 201313 yr I'm extremely busy in real life these days, so I haven't had much time to pay RuneScape lately.
