July 7, 201412 yr intel i5 4440k2x4g ram (some ghetto brand)625W power supply (i think gold-standard or w/e, got it second hand off friend for like 35 us)gtx 680 dcu II (also second hand but runs as if new)uh like 23" monitor which im keeping1tb hard disk (literally bought the cheapest shit, like 1600 rpm or something)netgear network card (i think netgear)im using the stock fan, was never intending on overclocking i use logitech peripherals because we get [bleep] all variety in nz and razor is shit.4440k, how much did that run you, USD? Got my i5-4670k for like $200 USD even GTX 680; if a GPU is only being used for gaming, it literally isn't being used to it's full potential; or in other words, you aren't really stressing it. As long as no one was mining on it, doing digital rendering (CAD/CAM)/photo editing you're fine. GPU's will last 10 years easy if you only game. 1600RPM? do you know how slow that is? I have a 7200RPM and I bought an SSD for my OS... I don't think I'd ever go back to HDD... What OS do you have? Does it take 10 minutes to boot? lol I don't overclock but I stress my CPU a wee bit but I also use the stock heat sink. buddy is giving me his water cooling unit that doesn't fit in his case for like $10

There is hardly any range for CPU's and barely any places that sell it. I got that 680 for less than half price retail, I originally had purchased a gtx 660, but returned it once i found out my friend was selling his 680 for like 275 usd or something. It was in perfect condition and at the time it would have me set for like 5 years so it was definitely a good purchase. Also if you're doing any mining/rendering you would want an i7, as it's the processor that handles all the calculations for that. It's why laptops tend to have higher end cpu's rather than seperate graphics cards as laptops are more used for work related stuff rather than gaming (also space issues since graphics cards are huge) Takes my computer like 2 minutes to boot. I own an ssd but it's in my laptop at the moment. There is a noticeable difference for start up times, but other than that it runs perfectly fine. Everything loads without me having to wait, there's no lag or anything. I can run multiple full screen games at the same time and still run max fps and graphics on everything. I don't plan on overclocking so a stock fan is more than enough. (22:28:44) <@Leik> LE INTORNUTZ SPEEK xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

July 8, 201412 yr Mish I was referencing GPU stress/load in regards to the GPU not the CPU I understand u tho bb c:
July 8, 201412 yr Author No I agree with you, I am not pushing my graphics card at all. But it was essentially a free upgrade from a 660 to a 680. And I was doing my friend a favour. So yeah that's why i went with that purchase. (22:28:44) <@Leik> LE INTORNUTZ SPEEK xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
July 9, 201412 yr hahahahahahahahaha I can't even afford that m8 What else do you play besides RS for that much graphics processing power?
July 9, 201412 yr Anything graphically demanding?http://archive.benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=992&Itemid=72for such a not high-end card my little girl produces a fair bit of power
July 9, 201412 yr Author a 660 could have done what my 680 does just as well for what i do on my comp. but it was same price and i had the psu for it so why not. (22:28:44) <@Leik> LE INTORNUTZ SPEEK xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

July 10, 201412 yr one of my m8ies is building a rig come this holiday season. he was like yh bro gonna build it in september, $1000 cap or so. I was like yo muh meng, holiday season dawg weight 4 sales. I have him pretty set on getting the storm stryker for his case. I want one too. Price is okay atm, I've seen it better. Compared to a host of other models in the same (or even higher) price range, (let's say $100-$350) it gives you a lot for much less than even a $300 case (cite: Obsidian 900D). Yes, each case has it's pluses and minuses, but realistically with say the 900D (I think it was) why would the average gamer need dual PSU slots? (Dual CPU's and 3/4 GPU SLI is an exception) but I mean, for normal people like you and me, not that important. with the storm stryker you get a nice big window, fan controller, carry handle (which is actually pretty awesome I haven't found a nice looking case with a carry handle), awesome cable management, a ton of expansion bays, and a host of other things
